Help Wanted: Falcom Wiki

Hello!

A few months ago, Seldane and I took on an ambitious project of making a Falcom Wiki. The wiki was to be the end all be all resource for everything Falcom. However, to our dismay the computer hosting the website died in a freak accident (I was hosting it on an unused computer that wasn't in the best of shape.)

Anyways, I've decided resurrect the wiki. The computer is a much newer machine and will not be dying anytime soon. Unfortunately though, when the last one died it took all of the work Seldane and I put into the wiki with it. So now I'm left with nothing to start from.

So I've come here in search of some helping hands. Who I'm really looking for are people who are well versed in the world of Falcom and know a lot about the company and their products. My aim for this wiki is, as I said previously, to be the end all be all resource of information. I want to cover not only the games they've produced and developed but also the CDs, Anime, Collectables and other various things that have been done. Essentially, I just need people who are willing to work on a series or item and perhaps some skilled in web development (mainly CSS so that the Wiki can be skinned right).

I'm going to start work on the game list this evening, however I won't get too far in it considering I've got exams coming up I need to prepare for. So if you're interested in helping you can either A) Go to falcom.no-ip.org and start working on something (Even though right now there's nothing to work on! So that option isn't the best for now) B) Leave a reply letting me know you're interested and I'll get back to you with something to do or C) Just reply below and share some ideas you have.

I really want to make this site to flourish and I want to see it grow into something that can be used as possibly a site that people reference too while playing a game or just interested in the company and games.

I've been hard at work trying to add in the games and their related series to a list on the wiki. I've organized them into three categories:

Series-The games are listed by which series they appeared in. However, doing a list like this creates a slight problem. Games like "The Legend of Heroes" and "Xanadu" were a part of the "Dragon Slayer" series before it broke off into it's own series. So I'm unsure if they should be double listed or just listed under the "Dragon Slayer" header.

System-As simple as that, the platform the game appeared on. I know that some games appeared on multiple platforms and if all goes well the links will point to the game's site where it'll redirect to system that the game link was listed under.

Date-As of right now the list lists the games as of their first release by year. Games like "Ys" and "the Legend of Heroes" that saw multiple releases over time have only be listed by their first release. Later, it can be changed to detail the multiple release dates.

My goal is to get the lists complete so that the individual pages can be worked on. I've got a few ideas on how the individual pages can be layed out however, as of right now I have no intentions of getting them together.

If anyone is interested in a specific series and would like to work on the initial page for the series and hopefully the individual games within it. Leave a reply and let me know which one you'd like to work on.
