Nice. That's pretty much half of what Nintendo earned from the Gamecube and all its software sales, isn't it? Hopefully, they'll upgrade their Pentium II systems with this money.

Good for them! It's always nice to see the developers of games I like prosper.

What I don't understand is how a younger company like NIS can afford an American division but not Falcom. Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful NISA is around and I religiously buy and play their titles, but I really wish Falcom would consider doing the same.

NIS realizes how much the US market matters to their products. I'm pretty amazed that Falcom can stay afloat on PC products in Japan when everyone over there is talking about how PC sales are in the toilet and still going down.
But hey, they're clearly staying afloat.

that's true, in a software house always look for the Falcom logo and you'll find good stuff. like a brand spanking new limited edition of Ys I-II COMPLETE (PC) in the "Book box" or the limited edition in LoH: SnK SC with the drama CD.

Wrong topic for this, dood. Somebody make a real one please. I am watching House (yes, and browsing the web simultaneously). This is interesting though, now there's actually a chance we might see this game in English someday. What happened to YsF though? I'd much rather have an YsF port on PSP.

Well, it was KINDA mentioned as a hope in wyrdwad's post back there. =P But fine, I'll go stick the good news in the Origin board too. (SIGH!) Since there are some companies more than willing to localize the PSP Falcom stuff, we do have hope now, I guess. (Or dread, depending on your take on the localizations...) You're right though. Where's our YsF fix on the go?

If you go into any PC software store in Japan, and look for computer games, you will find exactly three things: * Untranslated American and European import PC games * Hentai* Falcom You find perverts everywhere in the world wyrdy, why wouldn't you find them in PC software shops?

Hey, don't forget about KOEI. Every shop I have ever been in that sells games has at least a rack of KOEI games, as well as a rack of Falcom games.

It's because they've basically cornered the market! If you go into any PC software store in Japan, and look for computer games, you will find exactly three things: * Untranslated American and European import PC games * Hentai * Falcom Seriously, Falcom is pretty much the ONLY retail PC game developer in Japan at this point. I mean, I'm sure there are a couple other tiny software houses (mostly hentai companies that try to make a non-hentai game every now and again), but no others I've seen that get their own SECTION... -Tom Totally agree with that. That's why WE want... Falcom CONTINUE to make software for PC. Ys Seven and others. Sales of Falcom PC Games was great until now... no ?

Makes sense considering the popularity of portable gaming in japan.

If they can get the money from both PC and PSP releases, I think that's all the better for them (and for us).
