New here, only learnt about the Falcom company about a year ago, due to the PSP game, and then i learnt about Ys, but since it was in jap i forgot about it.

Later, i happen to find that someone was dedicated enough to create a patch for Ys 1 and 2, and sort to get the game (probably what you consider a bad method) and here i am from the patch makers website =D.

Currently playing Ys 2, and was hoping if anyone could tell me if Ys 3 is translated yet >_>

Glad to see you're liking Ys. If you're looking for a translation of the PS2 Ys III, to my knowledge one does not exist yet. However, the game has been translated into English and released for the following systems. Turbo Grafx CD, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis. You can find these on ebay at rather cheap prices used.

Don't forget Ys VI (The Ark of Napishtim) was translated into English by Konami and brought to PS2 systems in 2005. That is an excellent title as well.

If you're not into playing Japanese games, I say give them a try, you will be surprised at how much you will learn, and yes you can still enjoy them!

That being said, I highly recommend getting yourself a copy of Ys: The Oath in Felghana for PC, it is the latest Ys game, and is a completely new remake of Ys III in 3D. Of course it's in Japanese, but I bet many of us here finished it without any help at all, having played Ys III already on earlier consoles.
