Good day, everyone. I am the Captain, even though the registration process doesn't think I'm worthy of capital letters. I am a fan of Ys, and I hope that I can slide into this community with a minimum of ripples.
Lessee, a bit about myself. I'm an avid gamer, if a rather impoverished one. My genre of choice is RPGs, and I have a taste for the lesser-known stuff. It was Hardcore gaming 101 that reminded me of my love of Ys III I had back when I was 11 or so (I'm 24 now :( ), and compelled me to rediscover not only this treasure, but to explore the series further. Getting my hands of Ys VI confirmed this was a happy decision. Since then, I've also played Ys I and II Complete or Eternal or whatever the Windows 2000 version was that Nightwolfe made the excellent translation patchs for, and Mask of the Sun presently (Just got to the Iris Tower).
Anyways, I'm also something of a writer, trying to break into the field professionally; though writer's block isn't being my friend in that regard. I'm also an internet bum in general.
If you've gotten this far, good job! You have more endurance than I might have in your position! In closing, I hope that I can fit in without too many people wanting to test if I can be set on fire.
Also: A question: Is emulation of stuff never released in the US a forbidden topic here. I admit I do have my eye on sampling Dawn of Ys one of these days.
