hello guys new here, been in love with the Ys series since i played Ys VI in my play2, now i´m trying to find and play al the games... also i´m quite fan of nightwolve translations...
oh.. ím so lazy doing profiles... hehehe

PS2's Ys IV is kinda cool at some stuff. Welcome.
I'm quite sure you will have much fun trying all the other Ys games out there. This series is a legend. : )

yeah... althought nothing surpases the first game you play from the series... right now i think Ys VI is the best XD

I think people didn't like Konami's CG and cutting away the "VI" from the title. That includes me. Beside that, it rules beyond imagination. Stole that one from ya Sel. |

mmmm well since i didn´t knew how was the original pc game, i didn´t
find it a miss... i just thought it was created like that...
but now that i know how was the original pc version, i just think it does
not matters...
after all konami was the only company that dared to publish a Ys game in
america (after soo many years), i think because of that many people has
come to love the series (me included), and it also helped to bring more
falcom games to the states because of the new market they started,
example of this are the legend of heroes saga or the gurumi game... (>_< i
need a psp) so long live konami!!

Yeah, Konami rules! If you want to see the original anime style cutscenes, take a look at gamefaqs.com. There's a cheat where you can play the original PC version with japanese or english voices (you can choose the language for the subtitles, also). It's much better than the CG animations. The only thing that stays different from the PC game, apart from the voices (there aren't any on the PC), is the characters, which are 3D models on the PS2 and 2D sprites on the PC.
