Hello, new to the series

Hello everyone, I'm a 24 year old player from Brazil

About 6 years ago when I was trying to complete my Final Fantasy MP3 collection I ended up downloading an amazing music cd called Ys Healing, which i still listen to very often. But I had never actually played the series because I knew the games were in japanese (damn language barrier, I don't even like to think about how many awesome titles I didn't play because of this).

I grew up with a Sega Genesis and a Super Nintendo, so I'm a huge Phantasy Star, Shining Force, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, etc fan.

It's been a few years I hadn't touched an emulator, since work and university consume all my time nowadays.. but in a games forum I'm a member of, someone mentioned about a version of Ys for the PC with 3D graphics. I've always regarded the series as being oldshool and had no idea there were new games still being released. But to my disapointment they were also in Janapese. And that's how I got to this site and found out about Ys Complete translation.

Now I'm completely hooked into the series and the story and I can't help but imagine howcome I took me so long to find out about these games hehe.

I've played I and II so far, and I plan to play all of them if there's a translation available.

I guess that's it... Sorry for my long introduction, and thanks for the great site and helpful information.

Cool dood, welcome to the site. Ys The Oath in Felghana (Ys 3) has also been translated, download the patch if you want to try the 3d Ys in English. Totally get Ys 6 for PS2 as well, it's the best Ys.

Ys 4 has also been translated. There are actually two different Ys 4 games - one for SNES and one for PC Engine. Both of these games rule. They have both been translated to English.

That's really cool, except I can't find the translation for the Oath in Felghana anywhere. Seems like it's a forbidden file haha, it's been taken out everywhere I've looked for

Glad you corrected me now though.

Wait 'til I type the list of every Ys game I know.
FM and AppleII computers = mysterious to me.
