Well I started with the anime and i must say I love Ys!  Anyways im playing the sega master system rom of Ys 1  Was just wondering if thiers a English PC version of Ys 1 and 2 as i want to experience Ys in all its glory with animation vocie etc. Ty for the time |

Hello and welcome to the ancient Ys of land forums! (as I think it sounds like, if your thinking as the same name as Ys 1 & 2. Ancient Ys vanished omen) hehe... Yeah, the DvD is the best. On Sega? Hm.. You should try to get your hands om 'Ys Ethernal' which contains Ys 1 & Ys 2 with enhenced graphics. I dunno, Seldane may know, so just wait a while and I'm sure your question will be answerd  Meanwhile, be sure to check this site as often as you can and write about anything you know. Hello Ryle and welcome aboard! About Ys, the PC Engine/Turbo Grafx 16 version is the only one that features voice acting, but there are many great, renewed versions of YsI and II. YsI &II COMPLETE can be purchased from shop.himeya.com. Also, to check out all the Ys versions released, check this thread out! Take care! Seldane |

hmm as i thought my only option for an english Version of Ys with voice acting etc is the Turbografx. Ive been hunting around for a Rom of it but cant find it only the Turografx emulaors. i guess i'll just have to hope for them to translate that new Ps2 Version to english which it sounds like it wont happen. Well, for the Turbo versions of Ys, you'd have to try to find them on ebay. "Ys Book I and II" is the name it goes by. It's usually not too hard to find and it's usually not too expensive. It's definately worth it! And I believe there's a Turbo Grafx emulator that runs the original CDs if you have them. The two Ys Complete games that came out for PC a while ago have english translation patches (you'll need to order the games though at the link Seldane posted).
