I was wondering since we have over 140 members or something like that, and only...4 post or something like that, maybe you could mass-email everyone, and say "To all of the inactive members, if you do not post within "X" amount of days, you're account will be terminated.
Or does anyone else have any ideas? It just looks kinda odd with 14X (X meaning a number) and only a single digit number posts.
Any suggestions?

There's 154, actually. And I don't want to "terminate" them. If we only have like "4" members, I don't think other people will get too excited about joining four people.
But mass e-mailing is possible, although I did that not too long ago, so I'd better at least wait a while before I do that again.

All right, well how about only the members who haven't been active in the past month or a certain date?

Meh. They might return someday. I don't want to remove them since I don't like getting removed myself. (Sometimes, I return to a forum I registered at over a year ago).

Still, mass email everyone, and say if you haven't posted within "X" amount of days/months, you must make some kind of activity within the next week or your account will be terminated...
With the first number, I'd say about 1-3 months.

I think it's ok for now... Sometimes some people just forgot they signed up. And if you remind them, they might be "oh yea, I love this game" Of course, you can always find stuff to attract people

Or people sign up, post a little and leave...
Check out my RPG thread...in the suggestions area thing...that could bring back/more people.

I'm one of those inactive members and there are several reasons for that.
There are only so many hours in the day and many days there is no time for message boards.
I'm a quite person and don't have a lot to say.
I'm a dull and unimaginative thus much of the time can’t think of anything to say.
I know little about Y and understand even less. I enjoy Zelda and that is the only game I still play, as my rather active schedule allows for very little pc time. Therefore its not likely I’ll devote the time to learning about Y, so I probably won’t have much to contribute to that portion of the site.
The activity of the site is slow and that discourages one from posting even when he has something to say.
The board was down for many weeks and I forgot to visit here on a regular basis.
There are other excuses but I won’t bore you with them. Let me say that I plan to stop in on occasion and if something catches my eye or if a thought creeps into my mind I’ll take the time to post.
Thanks - Joe

I think you should send all inactive members an E-mail & if they don't reply within so many months get more gimmiks or something.....

And uhh Joe...I'm a member of CVG GE IF Ys (this one) FF (can't remember the last part of it) and about 3 others, and I'm active on all of them, so I don't think that's a good enough excuse
