SERIOUSLY..how do you play this game on a US PC?

Awhile back I really wanted to order OIF but decided against it. I downloaded all kinds of weird applocale programs, patches, utilities, etc and none of them EVER worked.

How do you play Ys Origin's on an older US PC? I can run some of the newer programs such as LOTRO, WOW, EQ2, etc, but I REALLY would like to buy this game.

What settings REALLY need to be changed? Can't you just slap in the DVD and get going? I've attempted to research this but I really just need some straight answers.

Seeing that you never actually purchased the game and most likely tried playing a pirated copy... you get no sympathy from me. Do some research on this forum, you can find out how to order it and get it to work.
