Thank you and welcome. Hope you'll enjoy it here, is it the first message board you joined? Well, it's fairly simple and doesn't take that long to learn.
And it's true, Ys IS the only game worth playing these days.... (With the exeption of other Falcom games).

awesome....thank you for the great welcome.....Ys has been and probably always will be my favorite series ever played.......I currently have played Ys 1+2, 3, and 4 for the turbo duo and am working on gaining the PS2 versions as soon as they come out.....I purchased a broken PS2 from from ebay, fixed it, and also bought "magic swap" along with Ys eternal story....hopefully it works.....it better lol  |

So you fixed it? Then why haven't you tried Ys eternal story? I'm about to buy that myself, actually. I need to widen my Ys collection.

I am PATIENTLY waiting for it to arive in the mail...sigh.....it seems that all of Japan is our of stock on this but the place I bought it gave me the limited edition for the same price due to my "inconvenience" lol....I cant wait!!!  ......I hope this swap thing works! |

Do you mean a swap disc? I don't know if they work, but a mod chip will do otherwise. There are also new external mod chips so you won't need to fool around inside your PS2.

the PS2 I bought I only payed $44 for and took it apart and made a flip top lid for it....it works great .....but I guess japanese PS2 games dont work in american systems or something.....I have no idea why..... maybe its because the games are better and it will create a shock to the system if you put a decent game in it lol  .....so I had to buy this swap thing cuz I am not good at sodering or dont know where to put a mod chip....besides they are so expensive |

yeah ...thats it.....I havent tested it yet because I am new to PS2......my main system has always been a Turbo Duo and nothing compares to it yet. The only reason I bought a PS2 is because of Ys.....and now I hear that 4, and 5 are also gonna be released on PS2

Well, that's not entirely correct.
I and II are avaliable, III is coming real soon, IV and V are coming eventually, and VI is coming out in the US in February. Therefore, all Ys games will be avaliable for PS2.
