I dont think there's an IRC to my knowledge. I suppose some people would like it but I personally dont use IRC.

And there might be problems since everyone here are from different time zones..

This is the chatroom, it still works in IRC, but the java applet is down.

For java, use chat.planetz.net:8000/java



Edit: I'm not into IRC, and I haven't used this in ages, so I don't know if it still works. I guess you'll have to try it.



Edit #2: After some "research", Quickchat, the thing that had that server, has dissaperared into the land of dissapeared servers, so I guess that's why the chat doesn't work. I guess I could make a new channel somewhere. But I dunno.

Edit #3: Well, I just had to do it. I fixed a new chat that works. Try it!
