Hello, everybody. I've been a big Ys fan ever since Ys Book I & II came out for the Turbografx back about 15 years ago. Anyway, I remember it had a big impact on me because it was one of the first games that had speaking characters and cinemas. But mostly because of the grand, epic soundtrack. I still get nostalgia and fond memories of my teenage years from listening to this music. That's why I collect most of Falcom's soundtracks.
A little info about myself: I live in the US but am originally from Central America. Even though I've been a long time Ys fan and visited pretty much every Ys page out there for the past 5 years, I'm more of a "lurker". I'll read through forums, but I'll rarely post.
I've played through Ys I - III on the Turbografx and Ys I & II Complete for the PC. I have Ys IV for the PC Engine and am waiting for Nightwolve's translation to play it. Also have Ys VI but never got around to playing it and now I'll probably just wait for either Nightwolve's translation or the PS2 release.

Hi Logain! Your name is familiar and I think I've seen you on other Ys pages as well. Anyway, it's good to have you here and I hope you'll have fun! I agree with you on the music, the YsI music is very nostalgic to me, even though I didn't really like it the first times I played it.
You have YsVI and you haven't played it? I guess you want to fully enjoy it when you play it in english, I guess, but I'd never be able to do such a thing. Also, there were no plans for a translation when I played through it, that won't stop me from buying the PS2 version though.

You know, it doesn't really feel "personal" if you post a default message to all the new members. Also, what's a "modator"?

The Message By Default is just a little "trying-to-be-humourous-but-yet-it-fails-miserably" welcomings. I do it on a lot of forums.
A modator...no idea...
