I got an e-mail from Rising Star Games today: About time! Finally! And MP83, their website is free of the "Y's" spelling now.

It's out. I started playing it tonight. So far I like it more than I first did when I originally played the Japanese version. Seems to be pretty much a normal RTS with tons of features and things to make, but with the additional "manual movement' system that allows certain heros/heroines to move using the D-Pad and attacking manually by pressing the A-Button. The graphics are not all quite there, but if you can get past them it does seem to have a fairly involving storyline so far with a great deal of new characters and locations to visit. If anything, Ys fans will have fun meeting these new characters and learning about some of the back story of the history of Esteria and the Romun Empire. Now that it is in English I can finally make it to the second chapter at long last. lol

I would have to import the game, because the shops here will only import games from US (and VERY LITTLE from Japan too). But nothing about EU games. =/ **** 'em
By the way, I still need a DS, so...

OOoh, I didn't know this was being localized. I imagine it's not hitting the US, so I think I'll have to hit up an import shop!!

DoodsExpensive, yes. But bear in mind that games ARE expensive in Europe (at least EUR -> USD-wise). I doubt you'll find it cheaper at this time.

It's pretty common, yes, but that's because Europe always get the last version of it. Japan gets it first, then North America and lastly Europe. Usually, most of the bugs are discovered by that time. Whoever localized this game (already forgot their name) probably didn't do anything except translate it.

I've sampled some of Ys Strategy's music, and it's pretty damn awesome so far! Definitely going to import this sooner rather than later!
