Anyone here ever check out IGN? They just posted a good preview for it about 2 days ago. ds.ign.com/articles/662/662290p1.htmlsounds ok... i just realy dont know what to think yet. Hopefully it'll have enough traditional action next to all the strategy to get me excited. Ive absolutely never liked any RTS/Strategy/SRPG game before. I absolutely need action in my games and seeing a lot of menus and stuff realy turns me off (even Final Fantasy's make me sick)... but this is Ys after all, and it's not like its being handled by some odd new developer. Im sure the music will be up to Ys standards, though. All i know is that DS is actualy getting an Ys, which I though would never happen (since I thought that Ys had made it's home on the PSP). On top of that, it's actualy original and not a port! It's practicaly the first original Ys handheld game (im not counting cellphone games). I guess they wanted to make good use of DS's unique abilities. Makes me wonder why falcom never decided to port older Ys titles to the GBA or something, I think that would have been realy successful.

Hmm, I'm wondering if maybe this IS a sequal. Abel Renford, could indeed by Adol in his later years, since he lost his memory. And a Queen of Esteria? I've never heard anything like that before, she is a descendant of the 6 priests, though it doesn't say her last name. Would there have been a Queen of Esteria in the 700 years between Ys rising & falling? It doesn't seem likely. But I could be wrong.

Thanks for the info! Also saw a nice bit about FF III on there. Interesting about the character Abel.
