Black Emel=The Black Pearl? Which is why there is more then one, since if I remember correctly in Dawn of Ys there was another one. So, you need a white pearl to control the black pearl, which the Goddesses of Ys didn't have, or atleast it's not mentioned.
Sieg Fact is the direct descendant of Priest Fact, but is the one responsible for Ys ultimatly having to be raised to the sky, even though they thought it was the Cleria, so he must've been a son/nephew/grandson of Priest Fact He stole the Mask of the Moon & the Black Pearl(or did he somehow create one) He created Darm The Goddesses are Eldeenians like Eldeel & Alma
Am I correct about all this? I'm trying to get everything straight in my mind. I mean, I don't even recall how long Ys existed on the ground. Did it exist during Selceta being inhabited by the Eldeenians? I'll think of more later, I'm trying to get all the connections.

I know it's not official cannon, I'm just trying to figure the story out. I know I don't like the fact that the Eldeenians were supposedly domesticating humans for food or whatever. It seems like in Dawn of Ys, they weren't, well, evilish. Don't know if that makes sense.

I dunno, I think DoY is better told while MoTS makes a lot more sense especially when you take the series as a whole.
I never got the impression that the Eldeen were evil, just incredibly powerful, and it looks like after their civilization crumbled the few eldeen who remained, were the ones who actually gave a crap about humanity. Eldiel was farily nuts but it took Gruda and the like to turn him evil. Alma seems like a rather benevelant being as well.
I'm guessing that the more evil Eldeen were the ones with the Black wings. Ernst seemed to imply that the black wings were special.
Anyhow I do believe that the Black Pearl was emelas, it makes sense, perhaps Cleria was grey emelas? That would be rather interesting.
Also has it been explicitly stated that Feena and Lair were Eldeen, because especially with the advent of Eternal showing them with wings has gotten a lot more popular. Food for thought I suppose.

Hm, Cleria is also known as silver which isn't too far from grey. That's an interesting thing to think about. Also, atleast in DOY
SPOILERS
If I remember correctly, Feena & Lair do infact say they are originally from Eldeen. I can't recall anything stating that in MOTS yet, haven't finished it though.

Well, at least they had more development than they did in MoTS, we are EEEVIL, we work for Eldiel, but wait, we are the ones corrupting him so he will destroy the world. Meh, whatever.
I liked the concept of Duren being a former member of the clan. Very cool and had a very nice scene attached to it. Still it wasn't explained very well.
Also as I have mentioned before, while I loved the betrayal of Eldiel in DoY he technically should have eaten Garuda for friggen breakfast. The Eldeen were ridiculously powerful.
Personally for future games I would love to go back to Esteria and get some more of the back story, as to why the Goddesses didn't leave with the rest of their kin, and find out exactly why the black pearl went wacky. Hopefully Oath will at least explain the whole Galbalan thing.
Also as I play through Ys II Eternal I noticed that they mention that Sada's sword is WHITE? Perhaps then Cleria is leftover white emalas?

Moreover, Eldeel had received the power of the Black Pearl earlier in the game and, as we all know, Cleria weapons are the only ones that can destroy it.

Are you talking about Eldeen, Selceta, I know they left Selceta atleast, not sure if they existed in Eldeen, since they deffinitly don't remember that....unless they lost their memories. Hmm, white emelas, no, I kinda doubt it, mainly since in Ys 1 it's called silver, leading one to believe, the metal is silver, I don't know.
