I'd have an extra $5,000 or so more. Me too! I spent enough as it is flying from Atlanta to California for those darn Final Fantasy concerts.

Well i guess some people would think differently about it and some wouldn't, but the point is i guess im grateful for video games. I met the one person i love because of them. But i guess if they stoped exhisting i wouldnt really care that much simply because i rarely play them at all. I'm still searching for those Y games but i can't find any of them around my area, im about to go searching on the internet. But i wonder what this world would be like if they never exhisted? I don't think any of us would be talking right now nor would most of lives be the same. Not to mention grades of most students would increase. If you put it in that way then hey yea getting rid of them is a good thing, but if you look at it from another angle some people would probrbably literally die of boredom.

I would be a complete antisocial ass, due to where I live. I wouldn't be able to develop social skills due to EVERYONE hating me here. I wouldn't have anyone to talk to without the Internet, nothing to do except read or write, and I would lack any friends at all. .-.
Religion makes me really mad sometimes. You'd think that people would be able to get over someone not being of their own easily, and that some people wouldn't be blind enough to follow it to the letter. But that's completely different from the subject I need to be talking about.
I would die of boredom due to having only two forms of entertainment that I'd actually enjoy. Reading and writing. I suck at drawing, and always have, I don't like my family, and I do NOT like to go outside.

hmm lets see shall we. First off obesity in the USA would be lower, less deadbeat jobless pricks looking for money (thus lower taxes ) People would cherish the outdoors and environment more i would think or hope. People would probably be more individual, and self reliant. Basically looked at how it was back in the day when there was no TV, phone, radio, etc.. gives a more solid idea of how people lived and conducted their lives and would without all this "STUFF"

OH MY GOD! BLASHPEMY!!! Don't ever think about a world without games and computers! I'm practically an walking-console I've grown up with Video games my whole life, I hate some of them and love others of them. My first game ever was Metroid to Nintendo! Games have been an very big part in my life, even though I've heard from me mom that when I was little, I was rather "athletic" of me, eg out running around. Especially running into cars and doors. I stil have a tendency to run into doors even today Oo After years of playing games, I got a computer with internet! Yay 56k! Now I could look on the net for game cheats and tricks and tips and even read about more games! Oh, and I could chat to people as well and have a hotmail! Where reality failed, only resulting in morons attacking me because I dared to think diffrent. I dared to be a nerd and get punished for it while I fought back. The games and the net has been here. And OMFG for even thinking this thought! It would been the end of me, I would not have been the one I am today. Heck I might had have an " life" as a moron or be dead as a " corpsemon" <.< I have no idea what I would do if games didn't exist.. Or maybe I do.. Hmm.. OO I would be a complete antisocial ass, due to where I live. I wouldn't be able to develop social skills due to EVERYONE hating me here. I wouldn't have anyone to talk to without the Internet, nothing to do except read or write, and I would lack any friends at all. .-. Religion makes me really mad sometimes. I suck at drawing, and always have, I don't like my family, and I do NOT like to go outside. this right here is a great example of how truly pathetic some people really are. And now, zoom in: this right here is a great example of how truly pathetic some people really are. 10x1000 zoom in: great example of how truly pathetic some people 100x1000: 1000x1000 and reworded: great example of pathetic people Now, allow me to reply fericously and flaming... WHO OFF THE HELL ON EARTH ARE YOU TO JUDGE HIM?Do you even KNOW how it IS to FEEL that way? Myself lives with my father now, I hate my father because he always yells for anything. In his mind, the one who yells the loudest wins. I love my mother because she is understanding. Heck even my stepfather is better then my real father except he can be really annoying. Point is: It's VERY COMMON to hate your parents. Who the hell are you to judge him for being pathetic? How many times have you been judged for being pathetic? I'm judging you right now for being ignorant. Don't you EVER judge anyone for hating his parents, getting hated from the people around him and being anti-social. He is defintly not the ONLY one and not everyone can have those AWE-COOL socialskills that you have, not everyone has a talent to talk to people. Let me quote another thing you wrote: People would cherish the outdoors and environment more i would think or hope. People would probably be more individual, and self reliant. Basically looked at how it was back in the day when there was no TV, phone, radio, etc.. What I love is Rain, I love rain. In rain, you can walk, in rain you can do lots. Heck even get sick, but I love rain. NO-ONE else loves rain as I do. Sure people love to have rain, when they are INSIDE. What's so special with being outdoors anyway? Getting stunged, getting smashed, die from accidently tripping on a rotten tree so you fall down and cracks your skull on a rock in the middle of the woods? That's the bad part, there are good parts I know. People would be more invidual.. One word divided into four letters in fat-text. L- I- E- SPeople will stil look and others and do the same. I'm more inviduallistic then TONS people and I play games and computer. Exactly what do you DEFINE as being invidual? I bet it's something bad considering what you already typed. And the thing about looking back on when there were no TV and Radio and all. So your saying basically you want the humanity to be racists again and not accept how other people are and work? Everyone must be the same? It sounds that way VERY much. -.- That is all, next time I see you post such a bad and highly disrespectfull post about another member. I'll flame you all the way to heaven. Note to other members that reads this: I'm actually a nice person, almost never flame unless it would be something that really would catch my attention. I spam alot.. Erh, Post. But posts like this really wants me to crush the people behind the posts. That is all

I'm actualy a lot like cain in that im anti-social. I may not seem like it online, but I am like that. And it isnt games that has made me anti-social, thats just the way i grew up. Ive always been soft at heart, and when i was younger i would take things to heart and remember them for a long time, especialy embarassments. I was clumsy, annoyingly talkative, and pretty desperate to make friends, but I was never "cool" due to my religion. And i liked games. I was more intregued and amazed by games than anything else in the world. If anything, games can make someone MORE social. The only friend i ever made was made through ZELDA. 1- Wiithout games, i wouldnt have a friend. Also, my facination with games at a young age brought me into various fandom and i began to incorperate ideas from games into my school work, such as Zelda, Mega Man and Lufia. As a result ive been dubbed as a very creative person and gained much needed encouragements. Ive been like that ever since. On top of that, playing zelda before I started school actualy helped me get a better understanding of the english language cuz many games actualy require you to READ sometimes. Other kids watched TV, no reading involved. 2- without games i wouldnt be creative or probably even as smart 3- Games also made made me create a strong bond with my brother and without that I would be like all the other kids who wish they were only childs... I never used to go out much, but thats because i never felt like i had a reason to. I didnt have many friends, my only friend didnt even like coming over much. he was brought up like me, brought up in a family that treated eachother like good friends, why would he want to leave? we're fortunate to have such families because i know how so many here in north america hate their parents for lare reason and not small things. luckily, i had games to play indoors, but i can never do one thing too long so i always got up to do stuff with my family or draw or do homework or write or eat. actualy, i did go outdoors, when it snowed or if it was a cool sunny day because i like to play in the snow or take in the beuty of a sunny day or snowfall. besides, if i went out more id probably be like those other kids i knew who were ALWAYS outside and learned more from kids outside than their parents, but i guess thats not the fault of the outdoors. 4- games gave me something to occup me rather than go out all thetime 5- as a result it made me have a stronger bond with my family 6- kept me from being too athletic or fit :/ yeah i guess that part sucks, atleast i didnt eat like a pig as a result and get fat... heh. i can make it to college and back without getting sick games infuenced me so much, that i want to take it into a career. Ive done so much to get there that i think the only thing that can hold me back is not being too social and lacking confedence as a result, but Im working on that too (maybe ill take up karate-do or myai thai lol). 7- games helped me find a job i like and helped me make strong goals to work towards I dont know what life would be like without games, better or worse, but it deffinately wouldnt be the same as now, or as fun. games are the books, movies, music, radio, and tv of today. it hasnt replaced them, but its given us another alternative. another source for creativity, fun, education (yes, media teaches, and it mostly isnt stuff you'd learn at school), and entertainment. It competes with them, and soon it could even overpower them! oh, and one thing that doesnt have to do with me: -without games we wouldnt be at the technological level we are now think about it. CD and DVD sales were driven due to Playstations, and soon Blu Ray may also be. The internet is strongly used by gamers and is changing as a result. Games influence other art medias, such as TV and movie. dont tell me that cartoon network's new stuff like dexter and power puff girls wasnt incluenced by games or anime, cuz it was. infact, anime as well probably wouldnt be as popular here. at the same time, Japan wouldnt be as popular internationaly. i dont know if any of you already realized this, but games are as important to the changing world as we know it right now as nearly anything else. and in return, the world is slowly accepting gamers and recognizing various new ideas and talents. Soon we'll have huge award shows and concerts for games, almost everyone will be playing them at various ages (from your baby sister up to your grandpa), and game developers and game music will be highly recognized like celebreties (already starting to happen in japan). oh yes: 8- I wouldnt like Japan as much as Games have led me to liking anime (not realy watching anime, but the style and art of anime, as they are used in games i love) and has led me to liking game development in Japan better, and has made Japan kinda like a place i wish i could live. And now, im even learning the language to go there for such various reasons. 9- id probably listen to boring music like everyone else (no offence to anyone ^_^') instead of wicked stuff from Ys, Lufia Mega Man, Castlevania, Zelda, Street Fighter, Tekken, etc... people who say "its just a game" dont know what they're talking about... anyone with that mindset should understand and change their views or get left behind -finaly (probably not all there is as i probably forgot a few points) we all probably wouldnt know eachother! i know, horrible thought eh? lol "Hmm... Let's see.... No games = No Lufia No Lufia = Very very very very very very very very very very veryyyyyyyyy emtpy life." LOL SinReVi... yes, very frue i undertsand why you would say that... but still: lol

4- games gave me something to occup me rather than go out all thetime I've got to comment on this -- exactly how is this a good thing? Sitting inside and playing games all day isn't healthy. When I was a kid, I was running around in the woods all day, exploring, climbing trees/hills, playing, etc. I wasn't even remotely interested in video games by then. However, nowadays I only play adventure games where you run around in the woods all day. I miss my childhood.. ....I still walk around in nature quite often, though. Not only because of the good memories, but because I enjoy being in nature.

Playing games all day does have healthy aspects. It is a good way to exercise your mind. May not be good on the fingers. LOL Actually, playing games will ruin your imagination. There's only one good aspect of playing (English) games that I can think of -- you'll learn English easier if you really want to know what the characters are saying. That's what I did.

Seldane, I explained that in my post, actualy, right after that part... (and i think before that point, so hopefully u didnt just read the points? ) I did say some thing about going outside. I also mentioned that im not one to stay put too long in one place. And I also mentioned how there was a negative in that point... and I dont undertsand how video games ruin one's imagination I mean, do movies and books ruin one's imagination? If mystical stories dont feed one's imagination, i dont see what does... and it may seem that my life "revolved around games", but realy I just happened to like games and that open up new and important things to me. I dont care if it sound crazy that I got my only friend through gaming, im happy i got that friend and im thankful to Zelda being there to create that bond. I should mention that It may seem that all i do is play vidoe games (after reading that post) but I actualy have many hobbies that also feed my imagination/mind. A game director needs variety. and about going outside, i think that video games have actualy glamourized going outside for me. They glorify things like sunsets, the moon and night, and everyday places so much that I feel like going out into the real world and adventuring into them as well. Like Adol, i think ive become an adventurer at heart i want to see things that ive only seen so far on the tv/pc screen. When i went to england, more than staying home and playing games with my cousin I wanted to go see a real castle. In Japan, more than even playing new games, I want to see all the stuff that Mystical Ninja 64 glorified, like Mt. Fuji. If I had the money and time right now, id be going everywhere I can go! I wouldnt even look at the stars and moon and space the same way if it werent for certain games like Zone of the Enders.
