Capcom has announced that they're going to release another Castlevania game (surprising or what!?). It will be for DS (another surprise!). It will have another cheesy title (sur---) Order of Ecclesia Screenshots will probably come soon. Who wants to bet that it won't be another SOTN clone?

Also, do you know what's the background story this time?

I freaked just now because I saw Capcom's name instead of Konami. :E
I don't need the difficulty upped in any Castlevania games, dammit! I die enough already in boss battles and even with regular enemies -- or hell, even stepping onto water -- in the earlier games !

I always found circle of the moon to be hard (especially that dragon boss), but it was far more rewarding than the latest entries in the series. Castlevania DS was a walk in the park. I just can't wait for this new game. My DS has been collecting dust lately anyways.

as long as they are fun to play, I'll keep buying them and beating them Me too, this is one series that they can milk for the next century! Especially since we just don't seem to get any 2D Metroids anymore! All of the Castlroids, atleast for me, are very satifying & fun to play! The Mega Man ZX series is ok in that regards, though, I think I like the 1st one better. But, anything that has that branching level design, where you get a new ability so you can go to a new area, just makes me squeel with joy! So, milk away Konami, milk away! BTW, pictures have already leaked, though, most think they are fake. I can't seem to find the pics, but, it looks like there's a femail protoganist in it.

If you could find those pics that would be great. Its unfortunate though because the last time there was a female lead in a Castlevania, it was quickly retconned for Lament of Innocence.

Sonia > other Castlevania doods. It was such a good game, and man the thought of Alucard and a Belmont in love.....would have been total poetic justice for the series.

Sonia > other Castlevania doods. Except Simon. He is the man.

Simon was all right. Until he got grey hair (Castlevania Chronicles), like the rest of them.
Sonia was the main character of the Dreamcast Castlevania game, as well. Too bad it got cancelled. I know it would have been crap, but the music was nice.

Still, Simon simply went to the castle and kicked Dracula's butt twice and all he ever needed was a whip. He also managed to pull everything off without looking too bishounenish or too heroic. And on top of all that, his battle was the only one where Dracula used some good brain power against the Belmonts (I am referring to Simon's Quest). Sonia was all right until that romance nonsense with Alucard. But then I kinda feel sorry for her since she got kicked out of the storyline by Iga.

If I could pummel him with gold daggers before he even moved, I wouldn't say that was intelligent. And to be honest, after the portrait of ruin game, I've grown really sick of the free-roaming castlevania games. If they could ever come out with a game like Castlevania III again, I'd be in heaven. Even Rondo of Blood was only kinda good compared to that.

I am really surprised a female is taking a lead role. Of course we are all jumping to conclutions, because nothing is official yet.

If I could pummel him with gold daggers before he even moved, I wouldn't say that was intelligent. Uh, no. I was referring to the fact that Dracula weakened Simon with a curse before he died and forced Simon to find his body parts and resurrect him. A lot smarter move than waiting for some warrior to come and kill him, don't you think?

I know it would have been crap, but the music was nice. Isn't his hair red in Chronicles? Oh, you're right. But his hair was grey SOMEWHERE, I just can't remember where. Or I am imagining things. Well, I like the N64 games too. The music is good, the atmosphere is good. The graphics are all right. I don't like the gameplay a whole lot, but it is decent. If the controls had been better, they would have been awesome games.
