Loonie -- that's the Canadian currency, right? I'm not sure what I missed though, but I'm going to assume a pun regarding a bird called the loon; or possibly another name for a lunatic? Looney? Are you amazed yet?
Edit: Oh boy, I'm slow. Yeah, loonie/looney conversation. Riiiight. Talking about Canadian currency, and calling it a crazy conversation. I gotcha.
somewhat... actually said i liked talking about the money better. Ya ok so that was not that complex like i first though. I got carried away. I like things that have 2 or more possible meanings in the same sentence. Thanks for being a good sport about that.
I feel out of character when I miss puns like that; I use puns and double-entendres like there's no tomorrow.
Ya that is some good stuff... Funny enough I miss Canada alot. It is a great escape. I do like how this post got twisted to Canada. Almost need a Canada topic.

If it weren't for all my talk of travel, I wouldn't have known about the loonie, myself. I've only traveled to all (but 2; Hawaii and Alaska) corners of America... and went to a small part of Mexico. I didn't like Mexico much though, because the air made it difficult to breathe. I'm not sure why that was. I ended up passing out. Maybe it was the population of the area; I also passed out at the Ozzfest 2004, so I wouldn't doubt it.
Canada, Ireland, Japan, England... and those are just the tip of the iceberg. Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Sweden. Mostly I'd like to travel for the culinary experience, but to be educated in cultural differences would be a huge bonus. One of these days, I have to write down the whole list of places I'd like to visit... that or maybe I'll just buy myself a world map and call it good.

Is that generalization really fair? I mean, don't they have as many audiences in Japan as we do in America which favor other forms of comedy or disapprove of puns and/or comedy altogether? It would be nice though if that were true; infact, that'd make my stay alot more comfortable.
I liked the loonie discussion better. If a non canadian got that i would be impressed.
Speaking about the Loonie, I went to the change machine at work last week to break a $5 bill and ended up getting 4 Loonies and ONE AMERICAN DOLLAR COIN. *o*!!!!!
d00des, I never knew Americans had dollar coins!!! I heard about the government THINKING about implementing it a few years ago but wow!
I like the design of this US coin more~ I'm going store this somewhere as a keepsake! :D
....... Will we ever get back to the age topic? XD

Let's not forget the useless $2 bill! I still have mine... somewhere.
speaking of $2. I have to admit i like the toonie better then the canadian $2 bill(good luck finding one of those now). Those thing make great bus fare. use a few for tips. It amazes me how happy people were to recieve tips. Then i discovered for the most part no one seemed to tip for courticies.

In spite of my negative demeanor, I always tipped pretty well. I understand what it's like to not make much, so I do what I can. People are very happy to recieve tips, true; but don't expect anything back. (Except better or same service next time around.)
I remember trying to make friends at the local resturant in town, but... no cigar. Maybe I just wasn't the type of person they wanted to say hi to, or I just creep people out. Either way, it was fine as long as I got my virgin drinks. (One more month and 15 more days, dang it!)
Come to think of it, would it be called a virgin bloody mary, or a bloody virgin mary? Either way it sounds nasty.
