I'm going to be paying close to $900 for plane tickets to Hawaii in OCTOBER. So yeah... plane ticket prices are pretty much the same no matter where you live, I think. (: Well, I think flying out of Buffalo would be cheaper for me but I'm so nigh UNadventurous when it comes to doing a several-hour drive to an airport several hours away to save potentially several hundreds of dollars on plane tickets. Anyway, do you get cancellation insurance with those crazy almost $900 tickets? :O

Canada Question:
Is there really a Yukon? I mean, I know it's on the maps, but is it really there? Because I am totally getting a vibe from that akin to "Here there be Dragons".

Miles sound better to the ear that kilometers. That's actually the only reason I don't use metric myself; the names have so little poetry or organicness to them, as I never grew up with them. We dont say kilometers, we say "k" ex "its over 135 k from here." Its 30 today, and I got back from camping yesterday and the high out there was 32.

Its 28 c today.... and tomorrow is supposed to be 30. This long weekend is going to rule! Blargh. It's raining over here right now. I think it's going to rain tomorrow too. At least this should keeps the idiots with the firecrackers indoors throughout the weekend. I'll never understand why people set them off BEFORE the actual day they're supposed to go off on. :P Oh yeah, if there's one thing I must say about Canada is that our plane tickets are stupid expensive when it comes to flying from one end of the country to the other. See, I'm heading to the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle at the end of August and the prices vary between $600 - $730 right now. 9__9 Oddly enough, even if it was just to Vancouver, the prices won't be that much different. WTF!? what part of onterio are you in?

Its Victoria day. Its a day to celebrate the queen of england (Elisabeth II) mother Queen Victoria. We are still part of the commonwealth so we celebrate a few days in honor to Britain. I am sure Australia has a few holidays like this too. No one really cares, its just a long weekend, and a great one it has been!

It exists in the Twilight Zone. o_O Seriously! There could be earthquakes, avalanches, penguin uprisings, attacks from the abominable snowman in that territory and we'd never know! I hear more news from the Northwest Territories than that place (but that's mainly cuz, for some reason, some of our customers live up there)!
