I think I am addicted to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I am currently watching the entire series again for the 3rd time, and I stayed up past 6 am today watching the damn show. I hope there are some other Buffy fans here.

Well, when a hermit has thousands of Charisma Carpenter, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan and Eliza Dushku wallpapers... you know there's something wrong with that. I love the Buffy and Angel series, but I'm infuriated because there aren't any new Angel episodes -- they ended it on a damn cliffhanger. They did pretty good with Buffy though, no loose ends!

I am reading the new "seasons" in comic form for both series, and its pretty good. Hard to link them to the tv series because Buffy season 8 is in Scotland and all over the world, not Sunnydale.

I'm scared to read the comics, actually. I find alot of comedy is missed through reading, and works best acted out. Likewise, I'm afraid the action would be a bit... stiff. (You know, still panels? Ah, I tried.) I don't know who writes for the comics, but I'm hopeful that it's good. I also heard there was a Spike comic; Spike, that bloke's bloody brilliant! It sucks he didn't get his own show; that would've ruled! Faith was also pretty good. I dunno, I enjoy the supporting cast more than the title characters. Angel held up pretty well, though. Maybe I'll check out the comic, just to see how the last storyline ended -- that was so damn twisted! From Connor getting in bed with a psycho demon goddess -- who gave birth to herself as Connor's daughter, Angel becoming Angelos again, Angel and companions joining Wolfram and Hart, to Angel fooling the senior partners (and briefly, his own team) into thinking he's joined their ranks -- only to do a sneak attack from under their noses. Of course, the episode where Spike says Angel's "a wee lil' puppet man" can't be missed; for the pure comedic value alone. Of course, there's always the rictus bearing grins which freaked me out too. Come to think of it, the Buffy episode where nobody could talk featured demons with a simialar expression, didn't it?

Yeah and man its a damn good episode. Joss Whedon writes the comics for the new seasons, so the "wit and charm" of the series is still there. I do know that "ripper" is still in talks but very close to a green light.

Very interesting. I never even knew about Ripper until you said something; it seems the show would be centered around Giles. The staff, Joss included, all seem to be tied up with their own business at the moment, so who knows when it'll get the green light. Hopefully Joss gets the funds for Spike as well... that could really turn into something! (He's been having funding issues since '06, which explains the movie ordeal.) Man, there's a LOT of stuff in there they were interested in... Slayer School, Spike, Ripper, Faith the Vampire Slayer, animated Buffy... Spike -- oh, and Spike, of course! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ripper_%28television%29#Ripper

I know, but fear not. Sarah has always said that if the story, script and characters were all good and came together well, she would be up for playing Buffy again. I am glad she has a ton of respect for the character, as the series could turn to crap quickly if not cared for..... star wars anyone?
