Wow, that was freakin strange, and there was no variation! The whole song is like... two verses. Then it repeats indefinately.

Zetsubuo Billy by Maximum The Hormone I'd originally posted this on the Spam thread, but I don't care. I'll post it here too. Anime fans alike may get this too. Pretty frickin' cool video, with pretty frickin' cool music by the greatest frickin' band in the world!!! (In my opinion) // Also on the Spam thread long ago: Bikini Sports Ponchin by - you guessed it - Maximum The Hormone. // I want a signed poster of the drummer. Wyrdwad may like this one more than the others, I'm guessing. This is Minoreba Rock by... yes, Maximum The Hormone.

Starlight by Muse
I've been into this group since I was 16. I haven't listened to them for a whole year, now, but they're great. For purposes of nostalgia, I guess I went back to listening to them. I have every last one of their albums.
// They are my inspiration for Project XX.
Butterflies & Hurricanes by Muse
This song, specifically, is one of my biggest influences growing up -- and something that's always backed Project XX.

This is a very fun video, and another band that I've listened to back when I was 16. This song is called Memory by Sugarcult. The whole time-travel concept in this video is intriguing, kinda gets my philosophical cogs turning; this reminds me of what happens everytime I think about the past, and what I could've/should've/would've done, had I known back then what I know now.

Trivium - Into The Mouth of Hell We March
Fucking awesome album, fucking awesome song! \m/
I really like Trivium. To me they embody something that I want to do in the music scene. Young kids of a generation separate from the original making sweet sweet thrash!
Of course, mine will have a power/prog hint!

Their first 2 albums were AWESOME, and that cover of Master of Puppets, rivals the original. But, their 3rd album sucked, so I left the new one alone. I missed out on seeing them last year, which pisses me off.

Woah, you didn't like The Crusade?! It is basically just a Metallica cover album, with original songs (if that makes sense)... It is awesome! Plus it is where Heafy finally finds his voice, and in that aspect is much better.
Honestly, CHECK OUT SHOGUN! It is really good, like a mix between their original sound (Ember to Inferno and Ascendancy [both of which I've not listened to as much as I'd like to]) and newer sound (Crusade). If you want I can send you some of the really awesome songs on the album to show you how awesome it is.

I have a question, Wyrd. xD Do you know what the japanese mean when they use these bars? / Are they supposed to work like commas or what?? I have seen such bars being used in some japanese games, I never really understood them. For example, there's this game called "Fate/stay night". What the hell is that bar doing there... =( I don't understand the mind of these crazy engrish-loving people.

Huummm... Anyway, what's the logic behind its use? These slashes strike me as an attempt to try to say something in engRish in a way that seems to be "exotic" for them, or something, I don't know how to explain the impression I get... Argh. @_@ I really don't know, but I am extremely curious.

I'll be waiting. @_@ These slashes are driving me crazy for many months now.
Also, yeah, after writing that IMMENSE topic in the anime section, I understand you must be rather tired and not be in the mood to write about these slashes. xD
And since they are used in so many ways, I guess it would take some time to write about it.
... cursed slashes. @.@

BAH! You and your subliminal message music! I should've had it, especially where she said He May -- I immediately thought "hime? -- Tsukihime?" // The actual line being My He May, being possibly My-HiME.

But oftentimes, it's just used for the hell of it, especially by those crazy Japanese. "For the hell of it..." So it really is that... >__> Man, but thank you for clearing it up! =) Now I can rest in peace. (Alive still! ) As for the song I posted... since it doesn't look like anyone's going to guess, here's the answer: Every line of that song (every section between slashes) is the name of an anime, thinly disguised with terrible Engrish. For instance, "am are / can not / cool and adore" is "Air / Kanon / Clannad" - take just the very first sound of each word, or every other sound (which is all Momoi is singing), and you can hear "EA / KANON / KURANADDO". You can hear this a bit more with the lines immediately following "am are / can not / cool and adore" - just listen to them, rather than reading the lyrics on the screen, and you can clearly hear her singing "Seto no Hanayome / Shakugan no Shana / Sousei no Aquarion / To Heart / Kirameki". The song is basically a celebration of anime, but with all the names of the anime subtly disguised, I guess to avoid having to pay royalties for mentioning them or something. It's really odd, but it's also kind of neat, I think. -Tom Oh my God. xD ... Hm. Also Air, Kanon and Clannad were created by the same people if I'm not mistaken, so they stayed close to each other in that song. I don't think it was unintentional. And indeed, that was very neat! But so weird and awkward.... *shivers* brrr... Yeah, I think the line is "my he may", which is pretty clearly "My Hime". There are a few that are REALLY blatant, like that one, To Heart, Negima, Eva, Wedding Peach, and a couple others... but then some of them are a little tougher to figure out. I actually JUST NOW figured out that "cat ramen can" is "Kirameki" (words with a hard A sound are often spoken weirdly by the Japanese, so "cat" is spoken as "kyatto", with the "kya" formed from "ki" and "ya", and Momoi kinda goes heavy on the "ki" when she sings it), which is hard to hear, but very clearly there when you know what you're listening for. -Tom Holy damn. xD Why don't the japanese speak japanese nowadays? XD

Slashes are also used to mispell Ys. Y/S 20th Memorial Book: A new way to misspell Ys?
