I browsed the forum a bit and clicked on a link that redirected to Nightwolve's Plight of the Fantranslator page. To my surprise, he updated it today with links to Ys I and II patches and Ys Typing. Just thought I'd let everybody know. (Ys typing is EVIL  but the lines are very funny!) |

Sweet!  Perhaps Nightwolve's back in the scene? That'd be killer!  Edit: Hrm... seems he still needs a domain name, etc. All I can think of is www.underdogtranslations.com -- since he opposes warez and all, and is oft disrespected and works to support the developers who choose to pump out the games he works on, that's where I get underdog. Eh... but hell it's too common. Whether or not it's too little or too late, we may as well give him a hand, right? Get those creative juices flowing! X) |

I sent him some e-mails some months ago suggesting him a few domain names, but it seems that in the end I couldn't help much. xD So, while we are at it, why don't we try making a few domain names he could find to be of his interest? That isn't quite offtopic either, plus we would be helping him. I just thought of The Ys Grail, The Wound Hole (Translations), Awe Soul (Translations), Ys Civilization, Reign of Cleria, Edit'n'Modify (Fan Translations). I'll try to come up with more things later. Also, from what I get, it seems NW doesn't want a name too "fancy", but he doesn't want something simplistically dull either. =s So it's VERY hard to come up with a name he will whole-heartedly like. There even was a topic in his blog forum regarding domain names (or "group" name)... I can't forget when someone suggested "Meet me under the Roda Tree". XDDD |

Does he want something Ys-related though? :O And is this domain name as in what needs to be in the URL? If so, don't suggest something long!!!

I always thought "the Plight of the Fantranslator" sounded very cool. But I guess he dismissed that already?

Very, very good suggestions so far! I must admit I like "Awe Soul", although it may be regarded as an offensive pun name.  I don't think Nightwolve would be pleased. Howling Moon Translations - based on his alias. The Hack/er/ing Pack - also based on his alias and what he does. The Hacker's Den Lone Wolve Translations World Entire Translations - thanks to Deuce, alongside the fact that he translates games from overseas. Hopefully he'll erm... wolf these ideas down! Edit: Popful Translations. It'd be an attractive site, I think. The sidebar would read Popful Home, Popful Downloads, Popful Forum and Popful Mail (as opposed to "contact me") |
