I'd be happy to help with any minor translation work - item descriptions, inconsequential NPC dialogue and the like. I have no formal Japanese qualifications, and I've never been there but I wouldn't offer if I didn't think I was capable of doing it.

Yeah I don't mind doing that kind of thing - I was trying to think of a way to help that'd fit in with the utter lack of free time I have Just so long as I'm not getting weekly "Hey! Are you done yet? Are you done yet?... What about now?...Now...? COME ON HURRYITUP!" emails I'll be fine, because I really can't guarantee a definite amount of free time.

Oh dude, I think I speak for us all when I say we know its coming, but its not expected. It comes, it comes, it doesn't, it doesn't. The mere fact that your working on it is fantastic. I don't want to play a patch that the team didn't have fun working on. The "blood, sweat, and tears" just won't be there.

Yeah, sorry about that Wyrdwad. I didn't mean to imply you need to drop what you are doing with Ys Origin and start work on Xanadu Next. I guess I'm just generally curious about what kind of work might be involved with it besides the translation so I can get an idea of what I might be good at doing. Anyway, we can come to that bridge whenever you feel like starting up that project.
I like your style approach to that. The dialogue (and story) of Vagrant Story was incredible. Now I'm even more excited about the possibility of working on it.

Hi, just wanted to tell those who are interested, that i started to work on Zwei!! for sure. Was not 100% sure as i made my first post, but after playing it a while it is *in my opinion* definitely worth to work on. However, it will sure take a while until it is complete, so please be patient. I am only working on the hacking and programming parts, as i am still learning japanese by myself and lacking the skills which will be needed to do a proper translation. Therefore, if anyone is interested in doing the translation and graphics (dont know how much is needed), please reply. Again, please be patient, as i am still at the very beginning of this project and have unfortunately little free-time for doing this. Best wishes,

Hi Unix. Glad to see that you are interested in working on Zwei!! I could help with the graphics possibly, but as far as translating goes, I doubt I'd be all that much help. I only know enough to follow along with about 5-10% of what people are saying....
And I'm sure we are all in the same boat when it comes to "free time", so don't worry about that. Just as long as we stick with it, it'll be worth it.

As kimimi isnt registered anymore (?) and wrote me, that she has no time to do such a translation, i am asking if anyone else would be interested in doing it?

I think it's officially gone anyway. The link is to Nightwolves old site, which is gone, and there is nothing on the new boards about it. From what I could tell it was mostly a menu translation, but it also caused problems launching the game.
