I thought it would be neat to see what the first cd everyone bought was. Post it and tell a little about it! For me, when I was finally able to afford a cd player, I bought the Robot Carnival anime soundtrack. I still have it to this day and it put me on the path to soundtrack collecting. I also still love Robot Carnival.  |

unfortunally i do not remember what the first cd i bought was, it has been years, technically speaking i used to listen to Ys 1 and 2 redbook right off the turbo grafx cd when it came out in school on my cd player, other than that i do not recall. i used to have alot of metal cds like megadeath, iron maiden and slayer so it was probably one of those.

Umm, I believe it was some Apocalyptica album, actually. I was a huge Metallica fan, but I had all their songs on tape!  I was very dissapointed in Apocalyptica though. After that, it might have been an In Flames album. |

First CD I bought was "Dookie" by Green Day.
I suppose I technically ordered Fire Emblem: Sound Memoriam off Game Music Online first but I picked up Dookie in-store and got it before FE:SM.

Some horrible pop/dance music cd back when i was very young and stupid and didnt know much (actualy, it may have been a mix of some good hindi music... hopefully that was it) the first CD i bought that's worth mentioning is the Zelda OOT soundtrack... although, it was from Nintendo Power -_-' and no worries, that pop CD is now lost somewhere in my horribly messed up closet (messed up at the cost of my room being very tidy ^o^) and has probably cracked under all the pressure for so many years i dont even realy remember what was on the CD, i think i bought it for one song...  |

The first CD I bought was back in 1993, when I was 12 years old. It was a single CD by the Beastie Boys named "So watch´cha want"...I still got this CD even if I don´t listen to such music anymore;-)

Both purchased at the same time. It's a Canadian hard rock/metal band that's pretty tough to find these days.
A few days later, I got Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante, and then Sugar Ray's Lemonade And Brownies (before they turned into a lame pop band).
