Very fun stream. Thanks to all those that popped up.

Next stream shall be dedicated to get a gold medal at the prince's boss fight stage, then at the secret boss', then give the extra 2 gold medals to hyperbolic, then do the Crazy Mode boss rush! At some point I'll also get all headgears to lv5 for the sake of completion, and I am also considering 5-hour-long reruns of the first 4 difficulty settings (using the Crazy Mode boss rush costume) also for the sake of completion (to have all items from all runs for each difficulty setting, each saved separatedly). THEN I'd be done. xD More than that, only if I also made sure to get S+++ in all stages in all difficulties (easy with the Crazy Boss Rush costume).

... And then attempted world records/get the best time/points at each stage and mini-game in the game per difficulty setting, but I think THAT far even I won't get. =p

Your definition of "balanced" and mine are clearly very different! But don't worry -- we used a new translator for Ys Celceta, and he did a great job. As its editor, I didn't feel the need to change much of anything, with most of my work consisting of typographical editing and rephrasing things to avoid repeating words. I don't recall taking much creative license with it at all, sadly -- except, as with Ys Origin, in the runic version of Roo-speak, which you'd need to decode runes in order to read anyway (and again, as with Ys Origin, the original consisted of literally exactly the same dialogue as the Roos' plain English lines, so if you're upset by the changes, just use your magic to talk to the Roos in plain English rather than painstakingly decoding runes!).

Well, that sounds better than Ys Seven's case already, so just go ahead and take my money.

I hope the new translator didn't take creative licenses, though, and is at least as trustworthy as Deuce for it, but I'll optimistically already assume he/she translated all well.

I also can really relate. =P IMO Dark Fact on Nightmare was the hardest Ys I-II Eternal (or remakes/ports) boss.

You are forgetting that bitch Vagullion? That's deffinitely way harder than Dark Fact - at least more frustrating.
Or is there some trick to it? The randomness of whole Vagullion fight really screws me up.

I really liked the new background and logo (though I super liked the earlier cute one too~! ) but for some reason it seems to have changed for me now? I'm seeing huge bands of plain grey in the middle of the background pattern? Is this a new improved version of the earlier or.... just woonky loadings of the background for moi? ^ ^;;;~

(Because I don't think I like these huge plain bands of grey very much!)

I think it's the latter. I had same problem when my Steam was updating, after it finished and I refreshed all went back to normal then

Heh, that's actually not a bad idea at all!

Showing all the awesomeness Ys I-III PS2 is made of to the world would be... awesome, naturally. And Ys IV and V PS2, despite not really being the epitome of outstanding gaming, could also be very fun and somewhat refreshing to watch as they are a bit different from normal. (But I'll warn in advance that those 2 get tedious fastly. Of course in English it'd've been a far lesser problem.)

The main highlight of Ys IV PS2 is the magic system once you get a few elemental swords (takes a certain while). It is nothing that much great, but it's... fun!

Ys V PS2 is a bit more "meh".


I would consider streaming all of the above if I had the patience to try to find out what gear I'll need to properly display it on my computer or on a monitor or thorugh any other mean for a high video quality for the stream. A member, "liquidpolicenaut", would know what'd be needed for sure.

I'd actually love to watch all those if anyone ever livestreamed them! Though I suppose streaming those would be hard, ne?

Thanks to everyone who joined the stream last night! That one was extra fun! (Another 8 people came at different points of the stream. That sets a new record for it.)

The only sad news is that its recordings did not save. Goddamned Livestream messed it up somehow, like it occasionally does, and it did not keep the 5h30min-long stream.



It's sad a bit, because Black Bean (the secret boss) and EVEN the Boss Rush were both beaten on Crazy mode! xD But finally! Showed around the ultimate costume which I had never gotten my hands on myself until then and all that. I'll still stream perhaps more "boring" stuff like me farming for all the headgears to be Lv. 5 and all, but that was about it. I'll decide on what game to stream next for the next times in that while.

As for the recording, if need be, I can beat both Black Bean and the Boss Rush on Crazy Mode with the Leopard Costume once again! xD So no problem.
... Yeah, I don't mind streaming that again. I somewhat got the hang of it a bit better than I did earlier in the stream.

... Well, although I gotta say doing the former (black bean, not boss rush) while keeping the 50 HP as maximum HP instead of 100 will be something extremely hard to pull off, even now... x__x Can't believe I somehow did that. For Boss Rush I kept HP at 100, unlocked the ultimate costume (saved in a global save data file), then reloaded old save with 50 HP, and redid the boss rush with it for a complete Crazy Mode save file. But I dunno, I can always retry.

As said in the shoutbox: Probably going to start another Gurumin stream ( www.livestream.com/red_hairdo )! That one would be for minor things and, since the last stream's recording didn't save, I might perhaps attempt Black Bean and also maybe Boss rush again on Crazy Mode with what I had before. (The Leopard Costume.)

This time stream will likely not pass 2 hours and 30 minutes of duration, though. Also, the Black Bean etc. fight will only be done if there is someone in the stream who had missed it yesterday or didn't come yesterday at all and is interested.

Stream starts in... 10 minutes-ish. During the stream I'll try to decide on what to play next in the future for streaming. Main candidate is Dragon Slayer (Saturn).
