Hey there! I've been checking the board frequently of late and decided it was about time to start polluting your server My Ys adiction is not that old but severe enough to spend all my money on getting a basic collection together At the moment it's only Ys I+II+VI but I think it'll grow fast... Been gaming for the most of life and are especially fond of the classics, particularly the rpgs on the snes. I also like (producing) music/anime/manga/asian cinema/sports. I'm currently living in germany and that's the reason why my english might seem strange at times Hope to have a good time!

Nice to meet you and your "addiction" is very common around these parts. Great to have you.

Nah, that's a rumor. But it's true that most of them get censored or even indexed (is this the right word?) and thus forbidden to get sold publicly. And there are plenty of site's with so-called blood patches (at least the last time I checked, which was about 5 years ago : for whoever needs it at all costs.

xD Cool. If I remeber correctly, the European version of the Genesis/ Mega Drive game "Castlevania: Bloodlines" had every blood with its color changed. The game's main menu originally is a pool of red blood. That "blood" became totally blue. And blood pixels in zombies and stuff changed their colors. I guess the whole zombies got their colors changed. Now I can guess why.

And there are plenty of site's with so-called blood patches (at least the last time I checked, which was about 5 years ago : for whoever needs it at all costs. It also depends highly on how gory it overall is. Something like Resident Evil or Mortal Kombat often gets censored or indexed. Games without a straight goal but many humans/human-like enemies to kill like FPS' or western RPGs tend to get the gore-option disabled or something. While other games get away with simple blood perfectly fine. The Drakengard games for example are uncensored. Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga and Persona 3 are all even rated mere 12+ while being completely unaltered. It's all a bit iffy and often seems to boil down to what was in the water they drank when judging the game, too xD
