I can barely stand the Simpsons anymore; as it's become a mere shadow of what it once was.
South Park on the other hand...that has to be one of my favorite shows currently on TV. I have yet to see an episode I didn't like!
Ohh wait...I take that back...I found the episode were Mr. Garrison gets a sex change to be a little too much...But other than that!

If they writer have to insult something to make it funny, then they're not really good writer. At not my kind of good writer, which is one of the reason why I like the simpson beter. The writer from the simpson touch up on the humor in controversial topic without doing any kind of insult to them.

I find that there are a lot of things in this world worth insulting, such as fanaticism, American politics (both right and left), celebrities, human nature, etc.

Sorry for bringing an old topic back to life but I really really love South Park so I just had to speak my mind here I think the Simpsons is (as Cartman would say it) lame and not often funny, I still watch every new episode but I rarely laugh. South Park on the other hand, that is just hillarious. And speaking of the Chinpokomon episode, shoe was my favourite chinpokomon too but pingu was also cool ... and "Good times with weapons" is one of the best episodes ever done in any television series ... oh well, sorry for ranting

The Simpsons episode: Bart vs. Australia (made Australian people pretty mad)
The Simpsons episode: Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo (has never been aired in Japan)
Comments, anyone?Damn! And they don't like Duke Nukem 3D either!

Ironically, I found the "Complete" version at a Goodwill store for $3 (Complete contains full versions of Duke Nukem 1 & 2). If you wanna how badly they didn't like it, look it up in a banned games list.

I was never compelled to watch the Simpsons on a regular basis. It just wasn't "that" funny. I mean, it did make me laugh, but not nearly enough to devote time to in a weekly manner.
South Park on the other hand, is one of the greatest shows ever. Nothing is sacred and I like that idea. I really like Matt and Trey's response to the whole Scientology thing, and if you saw last night's episode (the opener for the tenth season) then you saw what they did for Isaac Hayes. That was damn funny and perfect for the way things are.
I thought that SP would surely eventually become stale and unfunny, but it's only gotten better over the years. Last season was the funniest season ever! It was simply awesome!
I guess I'm saying that South Park kicks the crap out of The Simpsons. Cartman is the greatest character ever!!!

hahaha, I didn't know that! Watching the DVD commentaries I did learn that the Streetcar Named Marge really pissed off New Orleans, hahaha! I think offensive humoUr is great, even stuff that offends me is funny a lot of the time. Some people need to lighten up and not take things, particularly themselves, so seriously!

I would like to vote Other: Family Guy. But if I have to pick from those two I vote Simpsons, as I have watched it occasionally while I can't stand watching South Park at all.
