Wow, I genuinely can't tell if that Zoo Race vid is a serious (though stereotypically poor) attempt at a religious game, or the product of an incredibly sophisticated and odd sense of humor.  Speaking of vaguely religion-related topics, here's a pretty awesome vid of a band (Onmyouza) I stumbled upon and have been listening to pretty much non-stop lately. Their name apparently comes from "onmyoudo," some sort of esoteric gnostic branch of Shinto, and all their songs are about Japanese heroes and legends and demons and stuff. I'm not sure if that makes them like the Shinto equivalent of a Christian rock band or what, but well, here it is: All I know is that they're the most Japanese Japanese band I've ever seen. But more importantly, they've got a female singer who doesn't sound like a chipmunk on helium.  |
