Hey all. I'm not a habitual message board poster, so I apologize if I'm breaking any rules or showing bad board etiquette, but I have a question and this looks like a good place to try and get an answer.
While I'm a bit late on this it seems, I've recently become interested in Falcom's Gensosangokushi games. As far as I understand, they're based on the Three Kingdoms, which I've always found interesting. In an attempt to place an order, I took a look on Falcom's website (I found instructions on how to place an actual order on the forum, so thanks for that regardless), but it looks like the first one is sold out (the order thing is a picture, so I can't dump the characters into a translator to check, but red is generally bad news in most cases). While the second seems to be available, I generally try to avoid doing things out of order.
If someone could confirm for me if the first is actually out of stock, or if I've just misunderstood, that would be terrific. Alternate suggestions as to where to acquire a copy for a reasonable price would also be greatly appreciated (it should be noted that I am Canadian, which generally doesn't pose an issue, but does with some sites), or information on how often/if Falcom restocks.
Regardless, sorry for the overly long post and advance thanks for any advice offered.

Yes, you are correct. It's no longer available for purchase on their site. However ... I wonder if it'll still be available through the deal of the week thing? You might want to check www.falcom.co.jp/mailorder/special/special.html every now and then. Guh, I checked HimeyaShop, Play-Asia, and YesAsia and no one seems to carry it. On Amazon Japan, there are people selling it but not Amazon itself. Obviously, there are other shops and sources too and there's always good old adoru on this board that might acquire a copy of it in his buying and selling and trading adventures! XD

Just pointing out, that these games were only translated into Japanese by Falcom. Some chinese company made the games. Just in case you didn't know.

Indeed but I think the original Chinese version is probably out of print too. ^^;

Cheers to both for the quick replies. Yeah, I was afraid that was the case on availabililty. Ah well.
Anyways, yeah, I know the games were originally Chinese and then translated (pretty sure there's actually a 3rd and 4th now too in the series), but I'm more used to working with Japanese imports, so I'd rather stick with that. I'll keep my eyes open and who knows, I may get lucky down the line (it's happened before). I'll also keep an eye on the marketplace here to see if it ever crops up.
Again, much appreciated on the quick replies.

The series is generally English-ised as "Fantasia Sango" - if you go onto Yesasia you'll see they have the Chinese versions for all four, as well as the expansions and a few guidebooks. I keep meaning to pick up FS4 myself, but at the moment I have far too many unfinished PC RPGs... :S

Well, if the first game is sold out, they can't have that special anymore. Unless they have packed away some spare ones somewhere. Edit: MAN, I got that sentence wrong twice! The words were all in the wrong order. I need more sleep.

Hey all again. Once, again, thanks to all for the responses.
To Wyrdwad, I would be fine with that. Since it's really the game I'm mainly after, I wouldn't have a problem with letting you keep the other items. I would be happy to make a deal with you unless Adoru feels that he's likely to come across a copy in the near future.
I do need to now how you'd prefer to handle payment/shipping, so let me know and we can go from there (I'm not sure how this is usually done or what's most conveniant/preferred).
EDIT**Damnit, sorry on the name error
