Why are you even interested in Darkfall? Its everything you dislike in an online game. Full loot stealing PVP and Risk vs reward. Because DarkFall online involves getting an own castle? Because it seams fun? And no, you don't loose your gear when you die. Not that I've read anyway but yes, you can loot dead players - And? " You can sit with your guild and grind Monsters till your hearts content and never have to worry about your surrounding and who might pop around the corner and give you a dirtnap. Those people had every chance to fight back but they would just run get killed and go cry about it to the Developers." I hear you never played on RP PvP / PvP Realms then, you kept yourself to Normal Realms. On PvP Realms, there are contested areas were you will have a high chance of getting ganked on and corpsecamped by Highlevels. No Risks? That is a risk - It's also a death. " Skills this, skills that. Gear is no skill." Most certainly right, and it's not an exception in WoW. You don't need gear to get skills, you get skills and then you get gear. Gear, in all games - EVERY SINGLE GAME - enhances your character powers. Combine the power with your own skill and you can kill even better. Stop trying to make it sound like an game were Gear beats Skill, because it's not. Lucky crits on the other hand, which also is the same of every game were Critical Strikes is available. " One of the biggest reasons Im Disgusted with Online gaming is the whole Kill monsters to Lvl up system. Sure this works great for off line games like Ys, FF, Dragon warrior etc, but in an online game environ it just becomes unintelligent. I wish more online games would go to a more nonlinier skill based system with real risk vs reward." * clap clap clap* What makes an Single Player game more non-linear then were you USUALLY only - ONLY- kill certain type of creatures over and over again? Metroid, game I love. You kill the native animals of Zebes as well as Space Pirates and plants. Mario is about jumping on Gombas heads. Ys, you kill an BUNCH of Monsters over and over again to gain a higher level just go be able to enter a mine to kill even more monsters because otherwise you'll die very quickly against the boss behind the door. Your reasoning is flawed and your only making an fool out of yourself. Whatever you've said is either the words of a " leetboi", someone who knows nothing about online games or just someone who wants to debate. I'm pretty sure that if someone would hand you a copy of WoW with an 60 Rogue with the current best gear, the first thing you would do would be to seek out the lowest level contested area and gank everyone as well as corpsecamp them - Because that's the only thing I hear from what you are - An 1337kid. Go in Peace.

I resort to name calling when it's obvius what the person is - Mostly, I don't. Only when it's so obvius and the person continues to press the subject further on while it has already been proved the other way. Carebear? Depends on what level I am, I usually Permatag me for PvP mode ( eg. being able to get killed anywhere ) around Lv 1-5 and 15-20. On Defias Brotherhood, yes I am a Carebear on that realm but then again, I wish it could burn in hell since they are only after the Endgame Epics and not RPing. Thus is also the reason why I've decided to take an break from WoW to try FFXI again Anything else?

FFXI is for those with two much spare time. 2 hours then I became Lv 4 and had died once as well as run lost in the city and been idle.
Would be so much easier with an Common chatchannel as it exists in most games, but noo. That's something that bewilders me. FFXI is an RP game so they have no common chat channels, yet as far as I know RP is not enforced - or well I know it isn't at all which is kinda sad. The saddest part is the fanmade forum known as killingifrit - It's corrupt. Got banned 3-4 times just because I suggested they shouldn't flame. The idiots shine through on that page - Drama queens and Emos. Another bad part is the ruined economy - I can forget to ever currently buy anything from the Auction House that's for sure - as well as I've heard that most professions aren't worth the time to do due to the fact that they cost much and has a chance of failure which 'causes your reagents to be destroyed.. Oh well, I'm aiming for 50+ just to have my Mithra look cute in her White Mage Outfit ^^ So let's see.. Lv 4 now.. At Lv 15 I'll probably start to get invites... At Lv 5, Solo possibilities becomes lower.. Hm...
So how is CoV then? Tell me more about it.

City of Villains is about simplicity.
Chracter creation has a lot of variety. Several ways to become the same thing, based on your tastes. Powers are simple to figure out, and straght up fun to use.
There are no rare drops, no armor or equipment. It's you, and your powers. There are two classes of item. One is the Inspiration, which is a basic consumable item. They can heal, beef up a stat, and so on. The other is the enhancement, which you use to permanently upgrade a power; adding attack power, accuracy, shorter recharge time, and so on.
The gameplay's a lot like a beat 'em up. The trick to is is juggling one's powers so as to combo them effectively, control the crowds, and not run out of Endurance (think MP).
The meat of it is multiplayer. Enemies multiply based on how many people are there, and larger groups will encounter more unique stuff.
One of the cool aspects is that anyone can party with anyone. If you're a level ten and your buddies are level 30s, one of them can make you a lackey, and thus do you have his level. As long as you two stay close. Alternately! If you're a level 30 who wants to party with level tens, you can make yourself a Malefactor for one of the tens, cutting yourself down to their level. Not only that, since you wouldn't get XP anyways, it all turns to to money, for new enhancements.
The story behing it all is pretty keen as well, if you ask me.
Also, there's none of that crazy level-losing business when you die like in FFOnline. Instead, your future XP is cut in half for a short time; which is called debt. Malefactoring also leads to faster debt pay-off. It's irritating, but really not that bad. You pay it off pretty fast.
Not to mention NCsoft is way nicer to it's customers than Square-Enix is. Tales of the latter's MMO bastardry are legendary. Seriously, play ANYTHING other that FFOnline. =(

I see, sounds very annoying system to me, but I bet that once you get a hang of it it's really simple. Now, fix me a movie ingame Psk, I only play FFXI for one reason: Lv 50 Mithra in White Mage gear xP And well, RP wherever I can find it. Listening currently to: T.M. Revolution - Gundam Seed OST Opening 1 - Invoke

Go find some gameplay trailers, ya lazy berk!
And I suppose it's different strokes for different folks. The system never annoyed me, and is pretty easy to pick up. As for RP, I know that Virtue server has fair deal of RPing; some of it quite creative. Even better because loot drama doesn't exist to kill it.
