Yeah man I love Guitar Hero. Well, I'm kinda on Boycott mode with that, I don't wanna buy the game 6 times a year, but y'know. It is still pretty damned awesome! I did that, and now I'm reaping the benefits big time. All of those old GH games are dirt cheap in bargain bins now.

Heh, that's true I should look into it.
I'm one of those weird types who prefers the GH2 guitar. I love the clicky feel, can't stand the looseness of the new ones.

Just ordered a Like New copy of Burning Rangers for about $70.
Feels weird and nostalgic paying this much for short games.

I just ran through that a few months back. I had picked up a Svid cable for my Saturn, and wanted to see if the game was any easier to play.

Easier to play?
Are the visuals intrusive or something?

Clunky is a better word to describe the controls and visuals. The Svid cable makes Saturn games look great on an HD set up though.

Scratch that - the seller sent me a message that the game isn't really in "Like New" condition and that the description wasn't accurate..... REFUND!
Looks like I'll be playing GunValkyrie instead....

Wooow. Well it's a good thing he messaged you, then -- instead of being a major buttwipe and making you wait until it arrived in god-awful condition.

I made an interesting purchase: I just ordered an Xbox for $39. Yes, it's an original Xbox - just to play my copies of Panzer Dragoon Orta, GunValkyrie, and soon Shenmue 2 and Jet Set Radio Future (still thinking about whether I should get the Otogi games though).
I only use my Xbox 360 for Xbox originals anyway now that the other consoles have evolved enough and rendered my 360 useless (plus I'm not paying $50 a year to play online with kids calling me a faggot and telling me their anime-themed gear is superior to mine). Trade it in for a console with games I play and earn $90 in the process ^^

You're thinking?
Buy them both, they are fantastic games.

You're thinking? Buy them both, they are fantastic games. Yeah, maybe I'll get em after beating GunValkyrie and Shenmue. Reminds me of Okami - which I should've already bought for the Wii, if it weren't for that IGN logo on the cover. Makes me chuckle everytime I stop by EB Games just to see it if it's still there - the IGN logo I mean XD Turns out I could also just get Ikaruga for GameCube and Rez for PS, rendering LIVE Arcade useless for me. Then there's Saturn Bomberman - just need them multitaps for 10 player madness.

Sorry man, but REZ HD is way better than REZ PS2. How does Ikaruga play on XBLA.

Yeah, XBox Original is good stuff, but honestly a 360 has a lot of other good things as well. Like, I keep my Xbox for classic Xbox games, but the 360 has so many nice downloadable games it is unbelievable.

Sorry man, but REZ HD is way better than REZ PS2. How does Ikaruga play on XBLA. Indeed it is. First XBLA game I downloaded after being blown away by the demo (I was like "hmmmm heard this was good.... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF *buys*"). Rez is made for HD - I wonder why it isn't on PSN yet. Ikaruga on XBLA was my second purchase and it was also awesome. Additional features are online leaderboards, online co-op, and HD graphics. Otherwise, this is the Ikaruga on the DC and GC. I don't think the leaderboards is getting updated anymore since nobody seems to be playing the game no more - I never found anybody to play with online either. Seems more people play TMNT than Ikaruga. Oh and they removed the part where Shinra is walking towards the Ikaruga. The only other XBLA game I'm tempted to get was Puzzle Quest - but I thought I could just get a hard copy on PSP. Sega Vintage Collection? That's what emulators are for. Oh and yeah there's VOOT - awesome game. I even downloaded the theme for it. Too bad I'm not willing to spend $200 for the twin sticks. That narrows the choice down to Outrun Online Arcade. For those who downloaded the game, was the Panzer Dragoon cameo still there? Or was that just on Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast?

I haven't come across a PD cameo on Outrun OA, but I would ask Smithee about that in 2006.
Being someone who enjoyed the hell out of OOA, I totally recommend it if you have an HD set up. Its a blast to play, and is really great at blowing off after work steam.
VOOT is a purchase I need to make on XBLA.

I only played the demo of the XBLA game, but yes, it is in 2006 Coast 2 Coast, and I believe it might be in the new tracks for the game. I can't seem to remember right now if the HD version is just the 2 tracks or the SP tracks or what, although I imagine it is probably the SP tracks for some reason To be honest, I'd probably go with the PS2 game, it even has progressive scan and 16:9 visuals so it should look fine on a big TV I'd imagine.

Mwahaha! Pre-ordered Taiko no Tatsujin 2!
I hope it loads properly with Preloader and Gecko. Well, since Wii Sports Resort did, I anticipate this will!
Maybe!

Just bought Virtual On for Sega Saturn - Japanese version in mint condition including everything, even the spine card.
Oh and it cost me $5.
And i just found out that the Otogi series is not compatible on the 360 - further justifying my purchase of my new $40 Xbox ^^

See, that's why I was so adamant about picking them up I snagged the VOOT ost last week, and I'm totally digging it.

Actually, I've been thinking about buying an Xbox just for the Otogi games, though I'm sure I'd buy some other games, too.
