I need to do some more research on the issue before I make my official stance. I can't stand people who make choices without knowing the whole story.
As of now, I think its good something has happened. It would be worse if they sat and argued, essentially wasting the money we spend to keep them there. I hope things work out in the end...

I have thoughts and theories, myself, but I'd need to do more looking into things before I can confirm them.
Oh well, we'll get to see if the coalition can hold together for two months in the interm! =D

if you are posing "why" to me, the reason is canadian trusts. Basically, the republicans want to tax them 35% (to the company) more in addition to the 15% the unit holder pays. the liberals only want to tax the 15%. To see the liberals back in power can revoke the law to go in effect in 2011. to see things frozen right now basically keeps the window of buying the trusts very reasonable right now. most trusts have a yeild of 10% to 25% right now. |
