Nice to meet everybody, I'm new here (obvious part) and I'm from Brazil.
Red Hairdo showed me this board since I just started playing the Ys series.
Also, I ask to take easy with my "engrish" skills since it is not my first language. If anyone want to correct my stupid grammar, please do it.
Thanks in advance.

Not at all! Your english appears to be on-par, with so very few mistakes; I don't have a problem with the way you speak. I'll gladly help you, however, if you'd like.

As a matter of fact, I do believe that wyrdwad, The Captain, and myself, are all accomplished english speakers. I may be mistaken.

Oh Jesus, he has better grammar skills than most of us here. We should be ashamed ha ha. XD Hehe, it was about time you joined this board! Welcome! Here is an Ys Shrine; you may look or ask for whatever is Ys-related and you'll most surely get what you seek. Guess what, he just started into the series and completed Ys Book I & II at the speed of an eye blink, and now has jumped to Ys: The Oath in Felghana (already got at Genos Island) and is about to try Ys I.II COMPLETE and both Ys IVs. @_@ We also are two complete TYPE-MOON fanatics. Not to mention Melty Blood. xD (We also used to be addicted Smash Bros. players. )

My, I never fail to be surprised at how self-critical foreign people online can be when it comes to their skill with the English language. ^_^ You see so many people apologising for how awful their English is on English speaking message boards, where more often than not they function in English without ever being misunderstood. I look at people like that and think about my poor Japanese and French skills, and it's like...wow. Total embarrassment. ^_^
Anyway, welcome, kiyuki. ^_^ I hope you have fun here. Your English seems just fine to me. Little mistakes don't matter so much, you know? Even native speakers make them. And if you can communicate clearly in another language, you ought to be really proud. Some of us can't. ^_~

Yeah, not even most native speakers of english are good at it, so be happy. As long as you aren't going to use "I r l33t d00dz... wassap?", nobody here has the right to bust on you for your superior language skill.

Howdy!
Because I'm no good at these introduction things, I'll give you a sexual joke in place.
Picture this: a Hostess comercial for a twinky!
So there are two gay guys, doing oral. When one of them bites the others penis he asks "Where's the cream filling?"
Ah ha ha. As you could probably tell, I'm 14. Don't worry, I'm not normally like this!

Thanks everybody. I'm happy and, I guess, feeling more at home now, after reading the replies. Also I'm impressed by how constructive all of you are.
Hehe, that is true Fai.
And yes, I do agree that language is all about communication. Nice touch in that context wyrdwad. However I'm seeking improvement more for intelectual purposes, rather than survival ones.
I pretend to be a novelist and character designer after all. So a good English is really fundamental for better understanding of my ideas, and also for making easier to people acess my works since English is universal.
Besides that, I'm kind of slow when writing in English, that really frustrates me when I'm not in a good mood for writing. That is why I won't stick only with my game-learnt English.
Language's discussion aside, I just finished Oath of Felghana and I must say, Ys is really impressive. Thanks for introducing me into that universe, Red.
Again, thanks everybody for replying. (Especially Unsavory that made three posts so far. Hoho!)

Aha! Well since you want to be a novelist (and a character designer), allow me to offer some advice: Pretending means that you're trying to be something that you're not -- and possibly don't want to be. Aspiring, however, means that you want something, that it is your goal. Here's a quick example: "I'm aspiring to be a novelist and character designer after all." You're welcome, by the way. I'm not much of a conversationalist, but I'll talk up quite a storm on these forums. I'm one of those "I'm shy, but I'll talk your ears off, on the internet." kinds of people.

Haha, see, I must improve after all.
I'm like that too Unsavory. And just a side note: I do respect you, at least for now hoho.

Thank you! By the way, anyone who likes Melty Blood (the original, Re-Act, and/or Act Cadenza), Tsukihime, Tobi Tsukihime, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, and/or Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl, may as well consider themselves a friend of mine.

I had maybe a giggle, but that's only because I'd thought of the same joke a few years back, myself. Posting said joke without knowing whether or not that would offend or disgust our new guest, however, is presumptuous. It'd be best to wait and see what our guest can, and cannot tolerate, prior to cracking raunchy jokes.

//Not to be offensive. I just meant that if you played Tsukihime I assumed a sexual joke would be okay...

Smithee: check out this thread. But take a look at this quote first, to quickly clarify your misunderstanding. xD It's a common misconception. It was going to be an ordinary H-game but it became a serious novel adventure, much akin to Radical Dreamers. That should explain for itself satisfatorily. ... By the way, wasn't "philipmorris" one of your old accounts that got deleted by accident, Unsavory? xD

I actually already knew most of the info in there ^^ but thanks for the link because I did still learn some stuff.
I had forgotten about the ability to turn off H-Scenes in the patch. Anyways, my choice of words was a bad deduction. Sorry guys!

Don't worry, don't worry. I'm not really against sexual jokes, but that's not really my taste for jokes. That is just it.
And I do love eroges, but I don't like sex throwed out without any emotional context.
