Yeah I am more exicted for Verus then 13. But after playing the 13 Demo , I am completely sold. The battle system is just awesome, or at least I think it is.

Watched that trailer last night and it looks AMAZING.
Stupid nitpick: Wish people doing the renders would pay more attention to hands. People standing around with their arms down still have unnatural hands. :B
Vocab failing me ... cannot articulate properly ....

Impressions At the end of the game there are enemies almost impossible to beat without the best equipment. - The traveling between named areas that is said to be difficult is well explained within the game itself. - There are enemies larger than Adamantaimai*. The time I defeated them, I was at playtime of over 140 hours. - Once you have reached XX, you become much more able to move around freely. - Monsters sometimes have 'parts' to destroy, similar to Monster Hunter. - The Cactuar runs around a lot like in FF11. - There is no 'Run' command, but you can restart encounters

There is no 'Run' command, but you can restart encounters Does this mean that if you can't leave a fight that you can't possibly win!? Also, why is there an asterisk next to Adamantaimai?

So its hard? Finally, this is exactly what I've been looking for in a Final Fantasy game. For years its catered to babies, and now I can finally enjoy it with some challenge.
Thanks for the thoughts on the game, I'm really anticipating its arrival here.

In FFXIII there won't be an escape command for battles because there is no random encounters , instead if you die in the battle you have an option to "restart" at the point before you entered into the battle . They fight each other I have yet to play it

Ooh, thanks for the news! It's worth keeping in mind that Famitsu's scoring system is a little unusual, in that it's not one person's score out of forty but four people's scores out of ten added together. So all that a 39 really means is that one person didn't like it quite enough to give it a perfect score, while the other three did. To me, three 10s and a 9 is still mighty impressive. If three people out of four think it's perfect and the other reckons it's as good as, it's certainly worth getting excited about. ^_^
Also, being just a little below Final Fantasy XII is a pretty big compliment for me in its own right. Though I'm aware that sentiment doesn't hold true for everyone. ^^

Famitsu gives 40 only for big Launch games for consumer confidence not Quality aka Moneyhats (&) .

... dual-layer blu-ray? Seriously?
It better be worth the price of a PS3.

Seriously, the game looks and sounds sweet, I don't see why you'd write it off so quickly. It seems a little like refusing to play any other Falcom games because I played Brandish and that sucked, which I'm sure is a near-blasphemous idea to you.

I wasn't aware that we even know what the story is yet. Also, this is probably subjective, but I find it immensely ironic that you would enjoy FF7 so much if you dislike convoluted plots. A few of the characters actually look okay, I think.
Regardless, silly looking characters aren't anything new in Final Fantast. They've been around since like... I dunno, FFV or something. The gameplay isn't really something I can comment on, because I haven't played it, and I've only seen an official trailer so far, and I pity the poor sod who trusts those to properly convey the gameplay to the audience.

Dude, don't bother, this is not a conversation that ever goes anywhere. I've played the game, and I can tell you the battle system looks complex from whats been shown on video, but in actuality its really easy to use. In fact, I've found it really busy, so there is always something going on, yet not so much to the point of being overwhelmed. While the character design is up for personal debate, they fit in really well with their surroundings, and the in games stuff looks great.
