Sorry if there's already a good thread for this (please post a link if there is!), but I was wondering what kind of hardware setup you need to get good fps (frames per second) on the newer Ys / Falcom games? I just finished playing through YsF and was consistently running around 30 fps w/ full detail @ 1280x720 res. When I got to the last boss, my fps plummeted to like 5. I moved my game to a different PC and got more like 20 fps while fighting the last boss, but I still would love to play upwards of 40-60 fps. I already realize that lowering my resolution will help (I tried 800x600 and it was way faster), but I love playing on my TV @ 720p because the detail looks so great, I just want more fps Any experienced hardware folks wanna chime in? Thanks! -ud

My setup is this:
- Core 2 Duo E6600 overclocked to 3.0 Ghz
- 4GB ram
- Geforce 8800 GTS 640MB
- Windows Vista Ultimate
My Falcom Games are pretty smooth I'd say. Maybe slight stutter occasionally but most of the time it's butter smooth frame rates for me.
Oh and I run a 19" monitor with 1280x1024 resolution.
