To be fair Falcom didn't even make Ys 4 to begin with, so who knows if they will ever be able to make a competent remake. Wait, Falcom didn't make Mask of the Sun...? Ys III SNES was beautiful, if not broken. I mean, you could max out your level in the Tigre Mine, or in the Ilberns Ruins (see what I'm doing here? XD), just by fighting off the bees and the evil owls. Demanicus (yes, you surely see what I'm doing here now) doesn't stand a chance against Adol in that game -- especially when you go to the menu screen to swap out your equips. Hah, I always used to kill the birds in the Illburns Ruins to max out my level. Still, Galbalan gave me a lot of trouble (SNES version, if it matters). It kind of feels like his hitbox is messed up, as I have a tendency to take damage while attacking his core, even when I feel like I shouldn't have.

It's the rocks shifting and messing with your position. That's another thing I really dislike about the SNES version -- and another plus for the PS2. XD
I agree the PS2 version was way too easy though. They could've at least added more difficulty levels and changed some more variables. It seems all they really touched was the EXP.

I actually really LIKED that in the SNES version... made the final battle feel more epic. Also made it LOOK more epic... that was my one complaint about OiF's final battle: while Galbalan was in top form in terms of difficulty and crazy game mechanics, he didn't look anywhere near as cool or menacing as he did in the SNES game. There wasn't the CONSTANTLY MOVING BACKGROUND, with a floor that was constantly shaking, to give everything that enhanced feeling of utter chaos that permeated the SNES version of the game. I share the same sentiments. I remember being so pumped and frightened the first time I fought him on the SNES -ud

Here's something we can all agree on. The brass instrumental added to "Sealed Time" on the SNES version -- perhaps one of the best versions ever conceived!
