The Many Forms of Darm (Caution! May Be Spoilers!)

So Koa was asking if there were any official drawings of Darm and what some of the other images of Darm look like to use as references for creating Darm fanart. So I went ahead and took a few screenshots of all the darm images I could gather on such short notice. : )

Beware that there are spoilers for those who have not finished Ys Origin. If you do not want to be spoiled for Ys Origin, then do not scroll to the very bottom of this page!

The last image of Darm from Orgin is the only version I know of Darm with actual legs! The rest (aside from the World Compendium drawing) show Darm as a floating upper torso and cape. The Ys origin screenshot is the only one that I couldn't take myself as my PC is currently recovering from a reformat. : ) if someone else can take a batter screenshot, that'd be great!

This topic is the best source of inspiration to me I could find. I am going to use all these images and have yet another face of Darm for the world to see.

Well, it's about halfway done, (Just finished the head and torso, working on shoulderpads and arms now.) but I can already tell it's going to be sweet.

In that Ys Compendium image, is that Dulles standing next to Darm? That's a pretty nifty image of him! I think I might do Dark Fact and Him next after this.

I happened to have some screenshots of Darm in Ys Origin from my original playthrough. So here's the spoilerific fun. =P I'm assuming those who've scrolled down this far don't care about spoilers anyway, so hah!

Nice screenshots Lumi! I think that about wraps up all the various forms of Darm, unless Ys II Special has a different version. : )

Yep, that's an old school drawing of Dalles/Dulles standing next to a very 80's looking Dark Fact and Darm. Eventually all the scans in this book and many other books will be scanned in a pretty decent resolution and available from a website. One of these days anyway. : )

I'm pretty sure I died in that fight. Not really a good idea to keep mashing the Print Screen key when a boss is trying to chew on your ass.

Still, anything for a good screenshot or ten, I say! XD

Hehe, funny that you should mention dying for the shot. Darm from Ys Books I & II killed Adol in about a second of standing still. I'm lucky to get the photograph that I did from the fight, because one second later was a Game Over screen!
