Anyone going to shell out some moneys to check out some flicks in theaters (aside from wyrdwad) this year?
The only one I'm thinking about seeing is Up. Wish it came out earlier so I could see it with my BF. :/
Terminator Salvation might be interesting but I'll probably wait for the DVD or JR. Not really interested in much else including Transformers, Wolverine, or G.I. Joe.

I will see Wolverine, G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Star Trek Oh yeah, forgot about Star Trek. I ... don't know what to think about that one as I'm someone that's watch TOS, TNG, DS9, and Voyager. Mostly TNG though. Too young to really remember The Original Series even though I always sat next to my bro (who was the one that was into it) in front of the TV whenever it was on. The trailer made things look super actiony!! :o!

The trailer made things look super actiony!! :o! I was happy to see that, and I hope the new movie is full of action. Although I haven't seen too much of the original series myself, and only a few of the movies, I really liked The Next Generation.

I've never seen a Star Trek series, but I may go and watch the movie just because.

There were so many movies that I wanted to see last year, but this year certainly isn't looking like it'll shape up to be quite the moneysink. I do really, really want to see at least one of the movies coming out, though. On my list would be Star Trek, Wolverine, Transformers 2, Harry Potter 6, and Ponyo. And to be honest, every one of those is basically just me seeing it as something social to do... the only movie I'm really pumped for is Ponyo. I'm sure there's subbed torrents and such, but I've really restrained myself from doing that, I want to see it when it comes out in theaters here in August without knowing the plot. Edit: oho, I do want to see UP, too. Pixar, woo!

Since I never really go to any cinemas, I think I'll only end up grabbing UP. And going by my past lovely record, it shall probably rot on my shelves for the next five years, until I end up finally finding the time to watch it. :'D
And that's about it.
Oh wait...! Star Trek too! I didn't mind the series, and since I liked the earlier ones much better than these newer episodes that keep getting churned out, this movie actually seemed halfway interesting. (Aside from the fact that the whole country seems to be jumping in extreme anticipation about this. I'm sure it'll be all over the cinemas here. Apparently the child of this famous artist from here is going to be the ship's captain or something...? [Ha ha... I'm so informed... :'D])
(Em... wait... I also want to grab the subbed version of FFVII:AC. X'D Want to see what all the fuss about the extra content was about! And Denzel's story.)

Ooh yeah Crank 2, nearly forgot about it. Luckily wrydy reminded me.
Ponyo is good. Cute is the word. Definitely for children but adults should enjoy it as well. You are talking about Studio Ghibli's Ponyo right, Ashurei?

Xmen Wolverine, and I think a friend is going to drag me to the Harry Potter event at Universal Studios Hollywood and we'll see it there too.

You are talking about Studio Ghibli's Ponyo right, Ashurei? Yup yup! I'm a pretty big Ghibli/Miyazaki fan, their movies make up the bulk of my DVD collection, if we don't count anime. So when I heard Miyazaki was coming out of his retirement for a third time to make yet another movie, I was pretty stoked for it.

I'm interested in: Star Trek Up Terminator Salvation (can't POSSIBLY be worse than 3!) Public Enemies (Heat is one of my all-time fav movies and this looks very good) Harry Potter 6
I especially do NOT want to see: Transformers 2 (I will just stick to the good ol' animated version thank you!)

Didn't Terminator 3 pretty much completely ignore the point of the first two movies?

Well, when it's merits involve wiping out the things that made the series worthwhile, that's kinda unmeritorious, I'd imagine.

I haven't seen all of T3, but I was a fan of the female Terminator. With Wolverine I saw the trailer for the new Pixar movie "Up", and I was blown away! I hadn't heard of it before, but it looks so good! I think it could be the best Pixar movie to date.
