Hi guys, I've been a fan of Ys since from I first played Books I and II on Turbografx CD Rom, a "gift" that my dad bought for "me". The redbook audio from has firmly imprinted itself on my conscious, so when it came time to test out a new guitar I recently purchased as a "gift", I decided to record one of my favorite Ys tracks: Tower of the Shadow of the Something of the Make Battle of Death. I was so pleased with the results that I'm now sharing them with people who will appreciate the music as much as I do. I hope you enjoy it, suggestions/criticisms are always welcome, and I look forward to becoming a member of your community. 90percenttrue.com/veronica/Hot%20Darm%20Power%20Tower.mp3Best Wishes, Aleph

Welcome aboard, Aleph! Thanks for having me As far as soundtracks go, I have everything the Galbadia Hotel has to offer, and I actually purchased Ys Symphony some time ago. I'm not really a collector of anything, so I won't be able to catalogue what I've heard, owned, or played off the top of my head. Ever thought about recording To Make the End of Battle from Ys II? I'd like that very much. It's definitely one of my favorite tracks, so I have toyed with the idea of recording it, but I've had a hard time imagining my own interpretation. Unfortunately I have little choice in what inspires me. For example, though it has one of the best back beats I've ever heard, Burnland is not really a favorite track of mine, yet I am able imagine a pretty badass cover. The Muse is a cruel bitch. P.S. My track is meant to listened to at a loooooooooud volume. \m/

Hey, that's pretty damn good! You should submit that to OCRemix or VGMix or some other such site... it's easily as good as or better than other Ys music on those websites. Welcome aboard, and I hope we get to hear more of your music in the future! -Tom Thanks for your kind words. I do plan on submitting it to OCRemix, it's why I gave the track such a vulgar title, otherwise I would have just called it Darm Tower (stupid submission rules). Oh, and you've got to love those goofy translations, eh? I'll have to think of a pun on Moat of Burnedbless now...

Welcome! A musician, eh? Pretty neat. =) I'm on a course's institue right now, so I won't be able to listen to the song right now, but I'll listen to it later today for sure. Make yourself at home here. And be sure to post up any other music you compose, especially Ys music.

Oh, wow!!
Listened to it today and that's a REAL nice arrangement! A lot better than any of those Dwelling of Duels' Ys ones from last month, definitely.

Having a second person plural pronoun is just useful. I can't imagine my vocabulary without it, it'd be like losing a syntactical pointer finger.

I remember when I first found out in my english classes about a decade ago that in english "you" is used for both singular and plural pronoun. xD I was like "wtf?", because I know no other language that's like that. I approve the use of "y'all".

Eh, don't they have the 3 singular pronouns and for their plural counterparts they add a "-tachi" in the end? Like "Anatatachi" for the plural "you", or watashitachi for "we/us" and stuff?
