Aside from itinerary + other travel documents, money, clothes, hygiene, and bath stuff, what else do you have to bring when you travel?
For me, it's a cell phone and digital camera (plus their chargers), travel insurance, and the hidden money pouch thing. ^^
Anyone HAVE to have an mp3 player or game system with them? XD

Mp3 player is a must if I plan on going alone or plan on being holed up inside a vehicle for any extended period of time. Went to Blizzcon to meet up with my old WoW guild back in October, and I would have died without my mp3 player during the 5 hour drive there (and back), and without it to drown out the snoring of one of the guys I wound up shacking up with in the hotel. Nice guy, but DAMN did he snore like a beast. Never thought I'd see the day, but I used power metal as a lullaby, haha; I seriously feel asleep listening to Sonata Arctica as loud as possible, but not to his snores. >_<
I digress, though, my mp3 player is a must for everyday life. I tell people I'm a fulltime audiophile, and that's really not an exaggeration. I'll drain the battery of my player (10-12 hours depends on use) daily at work/school.
I also like books for travel. ....infact, I really only read when I travel, so yeah.
Other that that, nothing necessary. In fact, unless I'm alone, I'd prefer not to have my cellphone. I'm on vacation damnit, leave me alone! D:

Just J-pop) and it didn't work. :( It's hard for me to sleep with sound going on. *cletches fist at stupid loose sidings scraping against the wall* I had to buy earplugs during my PAX trip last year cuz my boyfriend snores up a storm. >_>

A DS and a book are a necessity for me. Multiple books will be brought as needs be to deal with anticipated time of being away.
Also some Ibuprofen and Antacids. Because they are handy far more often than one would suspect.

Usually when I travel far, it's by plane. I always bring a portable gaming system, an mp3 player, a sketchbook, and whatever personal hygiene items and clothing will fit into one backpack. I don't check baggage in at the airport.

I'm one of those people who can't function without an mp3 player (or rather any music player!) when traveling. ...Actually, I can't function without my music players even in normal day to day stuffs. But my cellphone holds a pretty good mp3 player in it, so basically... my cellphone and me mp3 player are the same thing. Anyways, aside from that, traveling essential number 2 be whichever handheld system I be using, me PSP or DS (depends on which game I'm playing [though I guess I'd lean more towards me DS, simply because it has Colors! in it?]). And lastly.... sketchbook? If I'm taking me DS along though, this can be set aside. Oh! And a book! (yes... I go equipped as if I'm migrating to another planet, not as if I'm going on a two day trip to the next city or something.... :'D)

Talcum powder. If you're heading somewhere humid, it's the only way to stay human.

Meds! Always remember to bring ur meds, at least the common ones your country allows. Unless medicine is under "hygiene"
I don't want to fall sick and not enjoy my trip in exotic places.
Camera and my Ipod is next.

And I, too, cannot survive a plane right without music. Prior to owning a PSP, I used to actually bring a Discman, believe it or not! But now, I use my PSP for both music AND gaming when I'm in the air. Pretty equal parts each, in fact. I actually still use my Discman.... :'D *ancient* So I like to use me CDs!!! :'D Ahem...

(Probably get like $5 for it at a Cash & Carry. ^^) When I brought a music player with me on trips a few years back, it was either my 1st gen iPod shuffle or the 3rd gen iPod. This time, I'm just gonna be bringing the DS with me onto the plane to play so no musics for me, not even from the game since I won't be lugging headphones around! XD Oh! Yakra! Be proud of me for my friend put in an order for an R4 for me! Now I can pirate try before I buy like no tomorrow!
