Umm...what with my not having been here in longer than forever and my suddenly starting a new thread I suppose it'd make sense for said thread to be either a hello or a goodbye. But it's nothing that dramatic. So I figured I'd use the thread title to shoot down both right off the bat.

I've been a little bit busy over the last little while, and things will probably only get busier for me over the next year. So before I get caught up with classes and forget completely, I wanted to say thank you to you all for being so warm and welcoming, and for helping to build a community that has been a lot of fun to be a part of over this last little while. I don't want to get into specifics, but things weren't really going so well for me last year, and I wasn't in such a good frame of mind. And now everything's looking much better! So thanks for letting me sit about here being dorky with you all when things in real life got too stressful or high tempo. ^_^ It cheered me up a lot. And though I never really said anything at the time, it kinda meant a lot to me.

I know that I don't really post very much, and have barely even spoken with some of you. So I'm aware that this might well make me sound totally crazy. Still, I've really enjoyed reading what you've all had to say, and it's been fun getting to know you all a little in my own way. So many thanks to each of you for being you. ^_^ I know there have been moments over the last year where things have gotten a little bit heated. But no matter what's said, I think there's a real sense of community here that is absent from many corners of the internet. And it's been nice to be able to feel like a part of that.

Sorry for posting this here. I didn't really know where else to put it. Don't feel obliged to reply if you don't want to. Actually, I'd say that you shouldn't feel obliged to read it either, but I guess if you're reading this you already have. <_<

Don't worry, I'm sure we all are glad that you could enjoy yourself around the forum of ALoY. And naturally I agree that this place is vastly much better than most internet communities there are out there.

As usual, I say that you don't have to feel the need to keep coming here all the time or anything... just drop by anytime you wish. Now and ever.

Even though you posted occasionally, I'll miss your big novel-like posts. They were always incredibly interesting!
