LG is "digitally yours", whatever that means.
besides that... I guess I tend to find it to be on the better side of quality. That's based off the fact that the only DVD/CD-RW drive that hasn't crapped up on me is an LG.

In my original computer the CD-RW completely broke and I replaced it with an LG one and that was a superior device. Used CDs that the old CD-RW couldn't read due to scratches gave me no problem when I switched to the LG model.

More often than not you can repair a "broken" CD/DVD burner by updating its internal firmware. I have gotten sooo many calls about that problem, and the firmware thing seems to fix it almost every time.

I'll remember that. At least for now I haven't had any problems with my latest PC, which is a year old now.
