Hi! I'm not too good on making introductions, but I'll try my best...
The name's ZeLoz (aka Bill). Hobbies would include gaming, game collecting, wishing that I had enough money for game collecting, and drooling at games I wish I could afford. I am also a wannabe fantasy writer, complete with 6 years of experience, but absolutely no completed novels to speak of (Come this November, though...).
As for Ys, my first exposure was with the Famicom version during my days of lurking on the old Whirlpool Translation site. Finding some old English patches for the game, I decided to have a little go at them to see about the attack button-less fighting system I kept hearing about. My first impression was that they were pretty brutal in terms of difficulty (I still consider FC Ys I as the hardest port), but quite unique. Fast-forward a few years, and I would later find out about Ys I&II Complete in English, which would later convert me from casual player to full-blown fan. After clearing Ys I Complete, I wanted to find out more about the series, which would later lead me here (well, that and the fact that Windows 7 hates Ys I&II for some reason).
So yeah, I like Ys too. Currently playing both Dawn of Ys and Mask of the Sun after having beat FC Ys II, but I'm still looking for a way to play Complete on Win7.

Hey, welcome to the forum! I think your introduction was perfectly fine, much better than mine. It's always great to see fans that started with the earlier games joining up. Have fun with DoY and MotS! Also, I don't have Windows 7, but if it's anything like Vista, you should be able to run anything with a little tweaking... well, unless it was made to run on MS-DOS, in which case you're probably either screwed or will need some extra software. It's also great to see new members with artistic talents. In any case, sorry I can't give you a warmer welcome, but I don't write long posts often... well, unless it involves music. (Yes, that is my forte ) *waits for Lumi and her majesty*

Dear me, did someone call for the welcome wagon? XD Ahem, with that out of the way-- welcome and hello. Nice to see another writer on the boards as well. ^.^v

Thanks for the warm welcome! It's nice to know that new guys aren't shot on sight here. ...but if it's anything like Vista, you should be able to run anything with a little tweaking... well, unless it was made to run on MS-DOS, in which case you're probably either screwed or will need some extra software. Well, Ys Complete worked just fine on Vista when I had it, and I'm pretty sure it's Windows based. I'm not sure what the deal is, though. Both operating systems are very similar, besides the fact that 7 runs Complete all glitchy-like (I think there's a thread on this, but there wasn't a solution).
