Hello all, I'm kolibri, and I'm new in this forum I must admit that I don't really know much of the Ys series, and I hope I'll learn more about it I'm quite keen on RPGs in general, but not only, I like also sports (football mainly), watching animes and films, music and biology =) I hope I'll have a good time on ALoY PS : Sorry for my English mistakes, I should have worked harder when I was at school

Thanks everyone =) Yeah, I forgot to mention how I was introduced to this forum I must add that it comes from a question about the translation project of Xanadu Next by Wyrdwad, a game which looks promising (I haven't tryed it yet, I must find time >.<). And about Popolocrois, I'm really keen on this saga, especially the anime and Popo2 on PS1. An awesome game, even though I haven't finished it yet (I'm on Wild Arms XF for the moment). BTW, I learned a few days ago that Ys Online servers will be closed on 30/11, even before the game release ! Is the same thing happen with the US servers ?

Welcome to the forum, kolibri! Don't worry, your English is actually really good. I'm quite jealous, really, as I barely retained anything that I learned in French class. x3 About the YsOL server closings; there were never any US servers to begin with. All the players outside Europe used a VPN to access the European servers. In any case, enjoy your stay. Then again, that's a given when your stay is here.

About YsOL Europe servers closing down, it's as Mutagene said. Aside the European servers, there are still the Korean and Japanese ones too. I'm kind of "spying" the japanese servers myself, lately. xD
And yeah, it is rumored there will be a Global server in 2010.

Bonjour et bienvenu, mon ami!
I thought football wasn't that popular in France. Where do you live?
Anyway, you should try out, whenever possible, any Ys game as they're all great.

Welcome to the thing!
This thing is no ordinary thing, though, as it happens to be the most awesome thing.

I know even in english, football can have the same meaning as soccer, depending on the region. If I'm not mistaken, I think people use the word football to refer to soccer in England, at least more often. Also, yeah, France, Brazil, Italy, ... We are quite the soccer countries.

I guess only in USA they use the word "soccer" for football.
I thought it wasn't that popular in France because I've met french guys who didn't give a damn about it, and I know sports like rugby and tennis are pretty big over there. In Brazil it's pretty rare to meet a guy who doesn't like football.

We call it soccer here in Canada too, which I cannot understand, because our countries history is deeply routed in England's, which is a country that refers to the sport as Football.
