You know! I think you're right about retail stores causing Christmas music hate!
I believe my dislike of those particular songs started from working at Peon's! Otherwise, I'd never hear them since even if they played on the radio stations I listen to, I'd just change the station. :B

My fiancee brought home "Wacky Christmas Songs" yesterday. It has a rendition of Jingle Bells sung by cats meowing. Its really annoying to say the least.
