LISTEN TO AND DOWNLOAD FOR FREE HERE: pixyjunket.bandcamp.com/Become a fan on FaceBook for more songs and updates: www.facebook.com/pages/PixyJunket/171606343349I've been working on this for six months and I'm SO glad to finally release it. I'm sure most of you are familiar with chip music to some extent and I myself have been a fan for almost twenty years (starting with the crack and demo scene on the Commodore 64). Anyway, after attending my first chip tune concert in March I decided that I wanted to play around with it myself. Like many things I see and buy, I figured I'd play with it for about a month and drop it.. and that's what happened! But something called me back to it and I actually stuck with it, all the way to this day! So download it, play it as loud as possible and let me know what you think of it! -Leroy aka PixyJunket

Downloading right now. I'm really quite excited to hear it. EDIT: I'm your first listener on Last.fm. Anyway, I'm on the title track right now. It has a really bizarre atmosphere, but in a good way. It's both playful and evil, as its name would suggest. I'll give my opinion of the full EP when I'm done listening. EDIT2: Alright, sorry it took so long, been kinda busy. I like it quite a lot. Not many of the tracks stand out all that much, but since they're generally quite good, it's not such a bad thing. Black Custard is especially awesome. I'd say it's 7/10 material. Will listen again.

It's both playful and evil, as its name would suggest. That's effing brilliant. I can't imagine any comment beating this one, I love it. Speaking of Commodore 64, any SID sounds in these tracks? Nope, it's Game Boy only. But I grew up on SID and would love to try it sometime.. I'm just so in love with LSDJ and the Game Boy sound right now.

There's nothing shameless about sharing SID music.

Wow, thanks for all the great comments. I feel like I'm improving with each new song I complete. If you check out the FaceBook page (or my 8bitcollective page 8bitcollective.com/members/PixyJunket/) there are two songs I finished after the EP.. one (Eunice was a Little Lamb) is a (joke) cover but sounds too damn catchy for its own good and the other (Journey Through the Bubblegum Galaxy) is something I'm really personally proud of.

Awesome! Not a huge fan of the Game Boy synth sound but that doesn't mean the compositions are anything less than fantastic!

I'll be performing about half of the tracks for my second EP and some other new stuff LIVE in Dallas in two weeks. I'm not sure if anyone other than the floof is in the area, but if you're out there, here's the event page with all the informations. www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=290507450776&index=1I hate to just appear to post to promote my nonsense here but the damn site is blocked at work where I tend to do 95% of my message board dealings. Anyway, for everyone else I suppose it's relevant because I'll probably have video of the show so you'll get to hear my new stuff. I feel like I've progressed a hell of a lot in a short time.

I wish I wasn't such a slow composer. Also, holy hell, I'd love to see you live! Too bad I live so far away.
