I think before, someone on this forum told me about LiG. I actually found LiG and thought it is great. Those are some goofy shirts. They are great. anyway. that not really being the point. todays question is:
LG and it is summer. What have you done or planning to do this summer that is fun and non work/school related?
I am not able to get out on summers for the most part myself as I cover a lot of jobs and people at the sametime. Due to layoffs there is more work then i can possibally do myself... LOL So I decided to take a few days off next month and head to vegas.
as always LG or LiG

plan for the summer? nope... just tending to my gaming backlog. besides trying to catch Die Hard this week, buying Metroid Prime 3 around August 27th and probably going to Wonderland around that same time, I've got nothing... sigh. I don't know if I'm going to continue delivering papers this summer either. The hot days really get me annoyed and the flier load is starting to suck. It's cool right now so I'll probably keep going for a little longer. On the other hand, it's probably all I have to keep me busy besides my backlog, and there's the exercise... side note: it's not LG or LB or LS. nothing in life is black or white. Well, that's the way I see it. It's just too bad gray doesn't look as appealing as those other two... and I finally see an LG electronics advert on TV with that phrase. For once I somehow managed to change the channel away from the local news.

Alas, seasons no longer dictate any change in my affairs. Work is work. Besides, I usually set aside about a week of my allotted time off around Christmas, so I have a nice long winter break. Which is better here, since the weather is MUCH nicer than it is right now.

Just spent a week staying at a friend's house with my ladyfriend and a visitor from Oregon I've only met once before, but it a very good online friend, as well as another friend from Tennessee whom we went to pick up for just the occasion. Good times were had by all, we did a tabletop GURPS campaign in the Marvel Ultimate universe, just 'cause. I got to argue that Marvel vs Capcom 2 is canon, and thus got to play a Servbot =D
Also, friend needs better synonyms. =[

LG is more of a push for geting where you are trying to go. You shape your future and how you do it now will determine how it is when you get there. Life is what you make it so make it a good one...
Inochi: has some good plans that it sounds like he will enjoy
The Captain: also had a good time with friends.
Lumineux: got plans for christmas (funny enough my normal vacation time is late jan early feb)
me: i said heck with work i am going on vac anyway.
all sound good to me. Remember LiG or LG

you guys should check out Ratatouille. Even I managed to like it and I haven't liked a Pixar film since Toy Story 2. Apparently most people are liking it more than I did, going as far as saying it is the best Pixar film ever. I guess it really is, but I still enjoy Toy Story and its story and characters much more.

Yeah, that's the kind of stuff I didn't like about it either. I left feeling like I'd heard the story before, numerously, although this time it was done with more originality. I even prefer Dreamwork's style much more than Pixar's. Despite all that, I still felt it was a well done, entertaining movie. I actually think it's the human aspect added to the film that made it so much better than most of the past stuff. The characters are all great and quite original... and definitely likable. I was surprised that it wasn't as funny as I thought it would would be (I had the impression going in that it was gonna be a total comedy), there were a lot of serious things about it. The comedy was still definately there, though, thankfully. Like I said, I really wasn't liking much of the 3D animated stuff after Toy Story but this kind of surprised me.

Why is everything grey? Looks like some kind of post-apocalyptic scene. I took some photos of this cold summer as well recently. Really gloomy day, but I enjoyed it anyway.

hehe... I guess I did have bigger plans. but technically it wasn't a plan... although my mom was planning to go to India for a long time, I didn't think it'd happen this summer and that I'd also be going (I really didn't want to go but I caved in at the last minute). Anyways, we had to stop at Birmingham airport first so we just decided to spend a week there with our relatives before heading to India. Although they live in London, not Birmingham. I'd already been there two years ago so I didn't really see anything new this time. The best new thing I saw there was nowhere else but in the Arcades (god I love their arcades!!): 4 player Mario Kart GP, 4 player Outrun, Virtua Fighter 5, Tekken 5 DR, Neo Geo Battle Colosseum, and friggen KOF XI!
Anyways, on to India. We spent the remaining 3 weeks there. We stayed in Delhi first for a week at our family friend's place. Everyone we know in India practically own mansions in Indian terms so it really wasn't hard to adjust. But it was hard to adjust to the extreme pollution in Delhi. No one should go out on to the roads without a scarf or helmet to cover their face, I think. The heat was usually no problem though as there was no real humidity and I didn't feel the sun burning a hole through my head like in Canada's summers. The biggest problem is that we didn't get to really go anywhere while we were in Delhi (none of the adults seemed to want to leave!) which is a shame because Agra is only an hour or two away from there and we could have seen the Taj Mahal.
It was much better when we went west from Delhi to Chandigarh (in Punjab) for the remaining two weeks. It's much cleaner and actually seems more advanced than Delhi (which is India's capital!). We actually did things over there too; especially when we went a bit further north from there. I finally got to see mountains. I'll never forget that experiance. It was just too awesome. We went to the top of one (to a big city on the peak of the mountain) and we were basically walking above and within clouds. Even better than that was the Mughal palace we went to at the foothills of the mountain. It was literally another world. It's the most inspiring place I've ever been to. I'm so happy the government didn't turn the place into a tourist attraction or museum. We just walked in, there were no guards or security or people to pay. and it amazes me to realize that I enjoyed looking at the mountain from it's foothills more than actually being on top of the mountain and looking off it. No man made structure can compete with mountains like that. To top the trip off, I actually ran my DS off of one charge... that's how little I was able to play it.
I'll see if I can get some pictures up later.
