The rest of todays pictures.
A cool sign and a pedal tractor.
small steam engines and large steam engines.
A rock that The Captain found.
A 1/4 scale model steam engine and the rock.
We found a lady sleeping under a tree, and some more pedal tractors. Note the pedal bulldozers.
"In the Grim Future, there is only Mecha-Adol." I was told to put that there by The Captain.
The Captain trying, and failing to win a cane.
Our step-grandpa making me waste his battery's.
So there used to be birds here. However, we have found out that the lady who said it was okay to take pictures of them was not in fact the head lady of the bird display. Instead, we've learned the actual head is a lawsuit-happy...person who claims she will sue anyone who puts up pictures of her birds on the internet. Of course, this shows a shocking ignorance of the law she claimed to be so good at knowing, given she is displaying her birds in a public place during a public festival with no notice of such things posted anywhere! While it would be extremely fun to not only notify her of this thread but point out exactly why she is quite in the wrong with florid terms, this would be very cruel. It was clear that these parrots, macaws, and cockatoos were the major focus of her life, for her personal manner and treatment of one of her assistants left one the impression she had long ago lost any sense of faith in humanity, and now shunned the very people that she should be seeking love from. But, that would be a pain as we would have deal with calls from her and waste time with settlements until an attourney laughs in her face, which would only sour her opinion of humanity more. Worse, she might start hassling our Seldane over the issue, and that's not fun at all. Thus, in the spirit of being kind to those less fortunate, we shall take them down. Sadly, I doubt she thinks of it in this way and instead feels she has successfully bullied us into submission. Why she is afraid to have pictures of her birds online baffles the both of us, and makes us suspect she does not own them all in a fully legal sense and is afraid if evidence getting out. But I digress.
Thus, you are going to have to take our word for it there was a quite-banging exbihit of domesticated parrots, macaws, cockatoos and such for, which was quite enjoyable and only slightly marred by the mawkishness of the person running it.
-The Captain
Things we saw in and around the pond.
A picture of me that The Captain took.
Red beans and rice that The Captain bought.
Some more cool things we saw before we went back to grandmas house: a book mobile, log table, Industrial revolution Luigi, and grandma with step-grandpa manning the Clay Township historical society tent.
When we came back we parked somewhere different, so we got to walk over a foot bridge. I took pictures of what the creek that ran under the bridge looked like as well.
More steam engines and steam engine related things like a steam engine powered saw and our mechanic uncle (on the left) and our uncle that makes new steam engine parts from scratch (seen on the right).
A police golf cart.
Sugar waffle stand, that we stopped at before we left the picnic for the last time that day.
A door I noticed as we were leaving. I'm still wondering whats inside.
I couldn't resist, they were just to pretty.
Everyone loves a good Sugar waffle!
The fireworks that I saw from the house, that ended just about an hour and a half ago. I shot some video, but it wonldn't upload so I had to deleate it.
We plan to go back tomorrow, so let us know of any request ahead of time.
