I was thinking about this today as I was choosing the year for my birthday to watch a video for an M-rated game.
I usually just leave the month and day as January 1st and then scroll all the way to 1900 as the year since I'm way too lazy to change all 3 fields to my actual birthdate. XD XD XD
Once I accidentally chose the year it defaulted on (2010 or something) and couldn't continue with the video. XD!
Otherwise, when I'm registering for things, I MAY put my real birthday or I may not. :3 Just depends on my mood. Ufufufufu~

Pretty much honest, except Youtube. When I was registering there I was a few years under 18, so couldn't watch uncensored videos of Cannibal Corpse, and the like. I thought "F*CK THAT!" and added a few years... Can't change it now

I just put whatever in those age verification fields. I'm 21, so I don't really care what I enter, I can look at anything I want now anyhow. 01/01/87 is generally what I do to save time.
Registration for forums and whatnot I generally leave off the year or leave off the "show age" option, but am generally honest about it.
I guess it's all just to be safe or something. Not that I'm terribly worried about anything happening. I'm certainly not conscientious about my age. HI I AM 21! *shrug*

^ Just use a fake e-mail for registration. That's what I do. None of the forums I've registered on has my "real" e-mail, and the one I use works just fine as a spambox ^___^

When a site is just asking me to put in a birthdate to "prove" that I'm over 18, I just put in 1/1/1984.
On message boards and the like, I'll generally be honest -- I might leave it out or hide it if it lets me, but I won't lie about it, since I don't really have any reason to. (This is the name that I use pretty much everywhere online, and I know better than to talk about work much in publicly-accessible places, so it wouldn't really make me much more anonymous.)
I have a Yahoo Mail account that I use just for signing up for things that I don't really care about getting e-mail from. It's a good way to cut down on spam -- but for sites that I actually care about getting mail from (LJ, YouTube...), I have it set to my regular e-mail address instead, because I won't check that Yahoo account unless I'm actually expecting something.
(Why Yahoo? I ended up signing up there as I was making a Flickr account that I don't use anymore.)

I use my real age, yeah, unless there's some stuff I wanna access, like on Youtube.

I... actually used to lie about my age constantly back when I was 12. I really regret it though, and since about two years ago I've been using my real birthday for most things.

I usually hide my age and birthday on forums if it's an option. That or I keep setting it back to 17 or 18 every year. I'm not very mature for my age. At all. XD And it can be a little embarrassing having my real age attached to a whole bunch of posts that sound like they were written by a fifteen year old. I don't worry about getting old, but I don't feel I've quite grown up enough to be doing it just yet. ^^
As for whether I'm honest about it when registering...sometimes? I don't really think about it too much. Usually I'll pick my correct age and birthday if I'm taking my time. Otherwise I just do what Nunuu does, and make myself more than a hundred years old. XD It's quicker~

I'm honest because I don't care in the least if people know how old I am. People lying about their age seems sort of silly, but I really don't care.
People who lie about their genders piss me off though.

I don't worry about getting old, but I don't feel I've quite grown up enough to be doing it just yet. ^^ Why did that sound like Fai suddenly picked the words out of my head, and just declare them? I too, feel that more often than anything I just pretty much sound like a 15 year old. A very silly one too. (Too bad one doesn't have a hide age option in real life. :'D That way one's highly immature sounding words and works wouldn't seem so.... out of place.) That aside though, I usually end up entering my real birthdate everywhere. It's just the easiest option. Nor do I bother to hide it or anything. That's too much of a bother too~ (......I'm actually glad that I'm getting older! Too bad my words and thoughts aren't getting any older. ) In certain cases where one must enter one's birthdate to view a video or something, I just go along the 'Ho! I'm a 1000 year old sage who was born on the first day of the first month!' route though. X'D Who can be troubled enough to go find the 80s and Octobers? :'''''D (I suppose it doesn't matter much anyways. I'm not very active on many forums. Or rather, none at all. This is pretty much the only place where I actually post. :'D So what my age is really doesn't matter to the world~)

Age and maturity don't necessarily go hand in hand. If anything, obsessing over being "mature" is sort of dumb if you ask me, because maturity is such a subjective term. Being easygoing or something like that doesn't make you childish or immature by default. I'm not saying you're trying to infer that either, mind you, I'm just upping my post count stating my opinion on maturity in general.

Age and maturity don't necessarily go hand in hand. True! I bet there are many teenagers more mature than me. :D! I CHANGED MY GENDER JUST FOR YOOOOUUU. Most people just automatically ASSUME I'm male anyway. (I change it now and then for fun. Thing is, once you choose one, you can't UNCHOOSE to hide ye gender altogether. X_X)

I'm always honest about my age, UNLESS I'm feeling particularly lazy -- as I get with AVGN's videos. I hate how I have to constantly tell it my age. Whatever happened to cookies?!

Whatever happened to cookies?! Death metal vocalists ate them all, and bakers are lazy.

Most people just automatically ASSUME I'm male anyway. There are no females on the internet, sheesh. When it comes to putting in an age just to watch a video, I just pick anything at or beyond my birth year. When it comes to forums or other forms, I'll always put in my actual birthdate. If given an option, I'll hide the exact day from other users.

D: As far as videos and stuff online I just choose close to default with the first 'old enough' year I hit. Choosing the actual details is way too much effort. Everywhere else, 17.

If anyone online found out that I'm actually 81 years old they'd probably be pretty weirded out and stop talking to me so no
