Hi everyone im... It's important to say my name...?
ooohh curses!, i'd like introduce myself, im a gamer, my name: Ivan. Im Mexican, and like everyone here another fan of Ys and...
Is this suposed to be a hi, greetings and all that stuff?
Yes! i'll tell everyone how i finished here, well first, i was suposed to be studying, suddenly i was hearing music, i said:
-sh*t im tired of all this generic music that i hear all the days of my life aaaaghhh, i want something new, i don't want to finish like a musician that had never played other instruments except guitar, drums and flute... *sorry for the comparation of the common musician
so i decided to try a new instrument in my life, something hard, something different...
like 2 months later i decided to bought a violin... and it took me like other month to search good manuals, practicing and all kind of stuff...
after a lot of hard practicing i was like... dissapointed
I said to myself: "did i spent all those months in vain, did i convinced myself to be a violinist, was that what i wanted about me, to be confused again?"
After several depressing moments i was searching something good... a special kind of music to fill that hole in my heart... suddenly i dont know why, i finished seeing "valestine castle" that arranged song in violin by the screamer...
I said... F*CK arghh this can't be, is that true?
Suddenly i was practicing again more harder, to master the violin, while i was searching more of his songs...
3 days later i was investigating who composed that music... when i realized of two elemental letters in his videos... "Ys" I said: what a hell is that!?
After a lot of hours searching in google what was Ys i finished with the most unexpected results, a game...
I said *again* : can't be a game, please don't make laugh i know lots of game soundtracks, and they can't be as perfect as this...
After hearing the soundtrack of Ys II and wanderers from Ys i realized that the songs to make the end of battle and valestine castle where of this game... but more important i asked to myself... who calls a game like this "Ys" and which company... and with other minor details i finished like a Ys fan, not for the fact what Ys is a game, *the best saga i've ever seen*, i mean for the music, i've never expected that here existed a game so perfect... the soundtrack, the story, the playability, everything. It's just perfect, i don't have anyhing else to say...
Just one thing... long live to Falcom, to Ys saga, to JDK band, to Ancient Land of Ys forums, to Adol, Dogi and every character that conforms this master piece called 'game'...
And thanks for reading all this stuff, and i'll be glad for your attention, that's all...
See you later... AND i won't rest until Ys become an international saga, i'll try to expand all this info, this music and this feelings.

The Falcom JDK has to be the most influential piece of making everything Falcom does truly come together. There are many times that I've talked to people who've never heard of Ys or Legend of Heroes, but who recognize the music and think it's awesome. I'm glad the music was able to pull you in! It certainly did for me...I'm such a music whore that I probably would have never even paid attention to Ys if it were not for that awesome music.

hi, thanks guys for the welcome, and sorry for the delay, im very busy with my school, you know... homeworks, sleeping instead seeing the calculus teacher... hahahaha the usual for a student...
god i just want to finish the highschool, that thing takes like 12 hours of my day )= without counting homeworks... anyways, first question! can we say bad words or we have to be always formal?
don't misunderstand me, im just asking... i have no problem talking like is properly, but is just a question...

Yeah... my theory is that maybe wyrdwad can be the next president of falcom co. hahaha Im dreaming I'd like to see a person like him in a high rank, maybe in the future... who knows probably he's the messiah xD ... nah really who knows... everthing in this world changes drastically and im sure that ain't wrong in that point.

Yeah, because those Ys fans are the most crazy ridiculous fandom out there, man! They break gaming tables over the heads of Sony fanboys and shoot DS cartridges out of cannons at parked cars! Oh man, it gets SO freaking obscene in their forums, too...cursing and yelling and insulting their mom's gaming skills...I just don't know what to say about those Falcom fans...the moderators are issued military grade digital RPGs that fire Legend of Heroes grenades. Because the only way to keep Falcom fans happy is to shoot games at them ^_________^

Eh... At least DS cartridges and UMDs are relatively lightweight. It's better than the guns that shoot the other kind of RPGs -- being bludgeoned with some of those hardcover D&D sourcebooks would take me out a lot quicker!

And Michi, you might be on to something... All that monster-slaying and wallcrushing in the Ys games must be getting to us! Maybe the video game haters were right after all!

Seriously, though, this is a really nice board. I'm definitely settling in here, a lot more than I do at most places online. It's smaller than a lot of message boards but big enough that it's still busy -- and very welcoming of random newcomers instead of being insular. It's a nice place to be!

Don't worry mutamuta-kun, actually or i'm very bussy at school or that's what i say, but i just have one thing to say, i downloaded vantage master 2 at falcom website aaaand in my opinion the game is awesome... i'd rather to play all the day in my computer instead doing my homework... which is not relevant to me... lol
it's just a new passion in my life like evertihing related with videogames, anime, etc, etc...
o... acaso no me equivoco? que tiene mas prioridad... la diversion o la tortura fatidica y sadica de la triste escuela? jajajaja

I don't know how to tell it but the game is just awesome, i haven't realized what the music was in MIDI ... seriously, maybe if i can i'll be able to practice to write some partitures hahaha, i fell that everyone can exploit lots of things to the games of falcom wherever you see you will find fun... well it works in my case hahaha

I think that could be helpful; while you provide information and reviews as a gamer who knows Japanese, I could testify such information and reviews as a gamer who utilizes FAQs or wanders blindly through caverns without a candle; or otherwise plays said games without any knowledge of the Japanese language. A dual-review could easily solidify a fluid statement. If all else fails, use fire!
